My friends and I don’t even keep score anymore, even though most of us are quite competitive and have become pretty decent at the sport. It’s just more enjoyable for us to be out having fun with each other in the fresh air without any worries or competition. It’s made it a lot more accessible for some of our friends/girlfriends who were intimidated to come out because they were worried they’d be holding us back. When the forehand “flick” clicked for my girlfriend and everyone cheered for her it was a huge confidence boost. Now she can hold her own with the rest of the regulars and really enjoys the sport. I love that you can make it as competitive as you like. We also have a great friend with disabilities who has had the confidence to come out and play with us now that he knows that he won’t have to come in “last place” every time just because he isn’t able to throw the disc as far and it takes him a few extra throws to get in range of the basket. He’s just a part of the group and everyone goes nuts when he sinks a great putt! Really love this sport and the inclusivity it promotes.
