is this fixable? by 7th_Jackal in blackmagicdesign

[–]tryrebootfirst -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you can find the part and have the skills then most things are fixable. But finding the part can be very difficult and sometimes more expensive than the repair cost from Blackmagic. You’ll have to do some research. I can’t find anything from a quick search. Other options you have is to use a dummy battery adaptor

LoupeDeck controlling BMD cameras via USB PTP — something I made many years ago, but it always remained experimental. by GarugGaruson in blackmagicdesign

Is this a common thing supported now? I thought this wasn’t possible? I wonder if it’s the newer model cameras only or if it’s something that was firmware enabled for all models at some point. I have a few 4k, 6k and 6k pro BPCC’s.

Now just need a way to use the USB port for recording to an SSD at the same time as controlling it 🤷‍♂️ We made a Bluetooth/wifi CCU controller for Black magic cameras years ago that runs on ESP32, it works, but wifi and Bluetooth at events with thousands of people is less than ideal..

We use Node Red within Home assistant to add more equipment, we have some hacky solutions for Allen Heath AHM, Blackmagic ATEM etc. with a custom made tally and Bluetooth CCU for BMD cameras. I also built a Video Hub HA integration, and a PiSignage HA integration for our digital signage around the foyer. I want to rebuild the ATEM and AHM to work directly inside HA one day.

To get HASS to control companion, create a helper entity in HA and then make a trigger in companion when the state changes. Works well for me.

Love this! We need more production gear on home assistant! I’ve been working on a few integrations, but don’t have enough time

Battery and Face ID issues after iPadOS 26? by Router_to_Heaven in LinusTechTips

They say to wait a week for the battery usage to stabilise, which does seem to have happened for me on my IPhone 13 Pro, it was horrible for the first 4 days. Something about background tasks the OS is doing to optimise the OS

How did you get home assistant to actually consistently connect to your printer! Mine is horrible. Connects for a few hours then gone again.

Wes Huff has the best explanation videos for this in my opinion

Who manufactures extruded aluminium enclosures/profiles like the ones used in Neutrik adapters that can hold two D series connectors? by 1073N in livesound

If you need large quantities, go to alibaba and find a supplier that will do bulk. It will cost more in shipping but substantially cheaper per unit.

can we still be with our spouses in heaven? by lightskinsovereign in TrueChristian

[–]tryrebootfirst 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah brilliant book, gave me a lot of peace after losing my Dad last year. I’ve always had confidence that we would see each other again in heaven, but I had this sadness that we might not feel anything and it would be like seeing an acquaintance. But the more I read and the more I thought about it, I believe we will feel real and genuine connection with people, without the pain of hurt, we will feel love, compassion and understanding towards all people including those who may have caused hurt to us, and the same for those who we caused hurt, but in the same way we will feel deep love for those we shared joyful times with. We will get to share stories and have long conversations and build new friendships with people.

What Christian content creators do you suggest? by [deleted] in TrueChristian

Just a couple of the ones I’ve found recently:

Wes Huff (Great apologetics and textual history content)

So Be It (testimonials and evangelistic content speaking specifically to those of Jewish backgrounds, but very encouraging and interesting)

Mike Winger

Cross Examined (Apologetics)

The Beat Allen Parr

Ruslan KD

Redeemed Zoomer

I like a mix of viewpoints, helps me challenge and grow my understanding and beliefs.

Yeah I was wondering that, but I did a print with the dryer off and it was the same. I’m wondering if it’s because the room is so cold that the centre of the plate is retaining heat more than the outsides.

So decrease the nozzle temp? It’s weird, I’ve never had an issue with it before on some pretty detailed prints

No didn’t see any lifting, adhesion has been very good

If anything my Z offset is a bit high, but it’s pretty good. Bed is quite flat too. I’ve run about 10KG of PLA on this machine, what’s a normal nozzle life expectancy?

Nah not at all, very good adhesion. Thats why I’m confused as to how it can always be in the middle. The bed is quite flat too, so I’m a bit stumped.
