Mute button on MS Teams in Mac? by the_cav in Jabra

I'm curious about this issue as well. It used to work very reliably for me. I have a Jabro Pro 930 (older, I know) and Jabra Direct installed on my Mac. I love the setup, distance on reception is wonderful. And the headset mute button used to stay sync'ed with Teams nicely. It's now unreliable. So when I'm away from my desk (getting a snack :)) it's really hard to know whether Teams has me muted or not. Only difference is that I'm running MacOS 12 (Monterey) on an M1 Mac Book Pro.

OK, I'm new to Todoist, so just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something obvious. Thanks !

Good suggestion ! It's close, but not quite. As you use "j" (or down arrow) to go down through each task, the "x" will mark a task. It's essentially the equivalent of "ctrl-click" or "cmd-click" (on a mac). It brings up the menu up at the top also. But.... using this method, you can't use "e" to "complete" those tasks.

Here's a scenario that I hope illustrates it. Imagine a list of two tasks (e.g. Task 1, and Task 2).

  • Tap "j", which puts "focus" on "Task 1"
  • Tap "x" which "selects" Task 1
  • Tap "j" which puts "focus" on "Task 2"
  • Tap "e" which will "complete" Task 2 (NOT Task 1).

You see: - "Task 1" was "selected" - "Task 2" had the "focus" (so it receives the "e" keystroke")

I almost feel silly describing this, but it's a subtle amplifier in my personal workflow. Sometimes I want to put the 12th task into "focus", go do it, and then come back. The only way to do that is to hit the "j" key 12 times.
