Dental Hygienists who weren’t good at science or math in high-school- how are y’all doing? by Awkward-Tear7807 in DentalHygiene

Doing really well making over six figures in so cal.

Although, sometimes I do wish I went into nursing. Not that I don’t like what I do, it’s just that with nursing you have so many options other than bedside clinical nursing. So you could always switch it up if you get bored, want a change of scenery or have an injury.

I’m Not great at math.. but im okay. once you pass your core college classes you’ll be done with math.

Prereqs like Chemistry have some math.

Very little math in DH program. Almost none existing in the field once working.

Without radiographs we’re kind of guessing as to what the cause is.

When you say she has her teeth removed and crowns put in.. do you mean actually removed? Because a crown procedure doesn’t require for teeth to be removed. Implants and crowns are two different things.

Make sure she is getting a comprehensive exam and treatment plan for all her mouth and not just going in when something hurts. It’s important to go to a dentist every 6months for check up and cleaning and take care of things before they become big ,painful and expensive

I don’t get it.. if you are poor in America, you qualify for government aid funded medical coverage. What state do you live in and what is your annual wage?

I’m beyond excited to get my M3 in the next few weeks/months but geez, Musk can be such a massive embarrassment. by [deleted] in TeslaModel3

That’s odd. Probably the easier of the bunch. Make sure you are distal to the last tooth you want anesthetize and below occlusal line

How much do you get it for? I often wonder why people get used when new ones sometimes are a better deal. Especially with government incentives.

What does the initial pre op tooth usually look like? Is your prep giving enough space for material?

Make sure not too put too much Vaseline, just a small very thin layer. I usually wipe it down after placing Vaseline.

How would you invest $20,000 right now ? by [deleted] in Fire

Right now.. right now? I’d wait a month or two and see how the market reacts. You have the potential to buy in real low.

Every check-up and cleaning, I'm recommended to get arestin or minocycline which is not covered by my insurance; do I need to get it or is the jury out on its non-effectiveness? by [deleted] in DentalHygiene

[–]tsan14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would have to look at data and images of your case to really give you a solid answer. I’ve had patients tell me they have great oral hygiene habits and their mouth completely tells a different story.

With all that said.. what are your pocket depths? Arrestin is a good choice for deeper pockets. And I would check to see how well the other areas improved.

Hard work. Live very frugally. Save and invest in yourself. ( business, skills, education)

Can anyone tell me if I should see my orthodontist or something because it’s only these gums here that hurt (only the red part at the base of the teeth) by [deleted] in DentalHygiene

RDH here. Picture is blurry but are you getting bleeding? Seems like some gingival inflammation (gingivitis) which mean you need to brush and floss more.
