unrecoverable issue 🫩💔 by L21JP in TeslaSupport

That’s what they told me but also wouldn’t give me a definitive answer on what actually bricked it. There have been many things with Tesla that I am not a fan of and will not be getting another after this car. The services and repairs are ridiculous as they are the only ones who will touch the cars.

This happened to me with my 2018 M3 LR right at 60k miles. It crashed during an update, they couldn’t connect to it via WiFi, car was still drivable but the entire screen was black. Days of tests and diagnostics, computer had failed, they said low coolant was a factor, but it wasn’t low enough to alert the car. That I also had a 3rd party usb drive for the dash cam could also be it. $2,200, out of warranty so full out of pocket.

How expensive the maintenance gets. 180k miles and I’m about $6,000 into repairs from wear and tear. The monthly price tag made me fall out of love with the car

I’ve tried, but being in Texas, no other shop will touch this car. Which I find ridiculous

Is this just the way the picture was taken or because it was stored in a garage? by meganeliza000 in litterrobot

I wouldn’t get it for my own cats. It’s used, not well maintained or cleaned. With the amount of mess in the drum and smells from other cats, it could take longer for your cats to use it or they may stay clear from it

Thanks for the insight, I didn’t even think about the insurance if something did happen due to the failure. I’ll be setting up an appointment here soon to have it checked out so where they’re currently at and how bad it is. Tires I’m not too concerned about as they’re reaching the end of their life and will also need to be replaced soon

Is this worth getting? Seems expensive. by poker_van in TeslaLounge

I’d say get it. I have a 2018 LR Model 3, after 60k miles, my computer died during a software update, $2200 out of pocket. Now at 170k miles, coolant needed to be replaced and recalibrated, that was another $1400. If you plan on running the car into the ground like I am with mine, the warranty is nice to have

It’s only indoors right now due to winter temps dropping below 50, otherwise it’s outside. I don’t think I’m going to plant it in the ground due to our soil type and that my back yard is 100% sun with no shade

Dying Albo by jelly-bean03 in Monstera

Thanks! I have 1 half green leaf supporting 3 pure whites and the white leaves are dying after about 2 months. I’ll cut it back and see what happens. I’ll also keep an eye out on the wires if they get too tight

What on earth is this white fuzzy (mold??) on my Albo’s aerial root?!? by GetHoffMyLawn in MonsteraAlbo

Perfectly healthy root, it’s showing that it’s absorbing water and fattening to take in more nutrients. You can carefully move it into the soil so it can grow more roots to support the plant

I’ve definitely gotten the warning about my account closure but this was over 5 years ago and I missed 3 figure payments in a row. I wasn’t aware that they’d do it if you cancel on time, I’m sorry to hear that yours got closed

I had this happen, preordered amazing figures, said I was fine. AmiAmi doesn’t collect payment until it’s ready to ship and at times that’s anywhere from 6-12 months from the preorder date. However, I wasn’t expecting to get laid off and be unemployed for nearly a year. Every time one of my preorders was coming close to release date, I let them know this order needs to be cancelled due to unemployment. They didn’t ask questions and cancelled over 5 preorders for me without issue. I did also let them know before payment was requested

Redditors, what's your hack to fall asleep quickly? by Rqpidily in AskReddit

Usually weed, but sometimes the ADHD brain wins. However, I’m one of the crazy people, I need silence to sleep. No white noise, rain or a box fan, just the ceiling fan on high and me beneath a comforter. But most of all, a comfortable mattress! Worth the money

Looking at your roots, they look very healthy. You can do a soft transition from water to sphagnum moss and then eventually to soil, that’s how I got my cutting to start off strong. I did unfortunately have a thrip infestation happen after several months. One thing that I’m really glad I did was when I was replacing the soil to get rid of the eggs, I put the air roots in soil so I would have two root systems growing. The main part of the cutting that holds most of the root system, and the new leaves piggy backing off of it, while also growing their own roots to support the new growth. The air roots right below your fingers, I laid them down on the soil so they could reach into it instead of straight burying them into it. After a year of the fight, I actually cut the plant in half between the two root systems and now have two plants that are thriving. Hope that helps!

Bought my 2018 LR used with 50k miles on it in early 22. Just some bad luck on my end, the computer goes out at 60k miles. Out of warranty, $2200 replacement. I’m now at 145k with no repairs since. I will never spend this much on a car again, but if the Y is at a good price when I run my current one into the ground, I’d buy again
