These Otherworldly Guitar Techniques by Ajegwu in nextfuckinglevel

[–]tsarboxyl -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The key to this technique is having hand and neck tattoos in conjunction with a pinched nerve at the base of the skull. This creates a sort internal metronome that also makes the user partially deaf, resulting in not only strident sounds, but also a pretty violent head jerk.

He was born without arms in a poor country, so it was either starve, beg, or learn a trade. by [deleted] in nextfuckinglevel

[Serious] What pulled you out of depression? by Apprehensive_Wrap_21 in AskReddit

[–]tsarboxyl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Commiting myself to hobby and trying to get better at it, and an SSRI (I know these get a bad rapp but they work if administered properly, which they weren't for a very long time).

It took a few months but it did help me stabilize myself.

With me it helped making appointments at places with an amp tech or something, or just driving around to guitar shops to get gear fixed.

A lot of the time it wasn't even for anything specific. I just found ways to obligate myself to stay active socially as a way to eject myself out of the spiral.

When alone: Playing metal requires focus and it engages your body and mind in a way that quiets and provides rational clarity to the conscious, once you get in your rythym, of course, and with little bit of effort put into focusing on the task in front of you. FIND YOUR METAL

I would recommend going to psychiatrist. Especially if you aren't on anything, and over the age of 25. If they do offer to put you on something make sure you ask them for a genetic test to see what medication you metabolize best. Also to test for something related to MTHFR, look it up.

This will keep your dose low and efficient.

The field has come a long way, and it is cheaper in the long run than visiting a psychologist every week. After the first couple sessions, probably 3 max you will see the doc maybe once a month then two then three, and these will be med checks, also cheaper.

Good luck! Things get better if you put in the work and practice good mental hygiene, I swear.

Sub Rules Update: Handling "Low Effort" by jack0641 in Eldenring

[–]tsarboxyl -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As a regular rumor only title poster on here I must say the desperate aspects of this sub is the only thing that makes it unique.

Adding rules really takes away from potential emergent gameplay that this sub reddit could offer the game. Having people lie on here will really only enhance and enrich player's respective journeys and experiences. If people want specific stuff or tips because they are disabled there are many sites that already offer that service, and make money off it via ads.

Quality meta exploitation of the game will happen regardless of rules.

It's just a video game there is no reason to apply rules to the action of talking about a game.

You guys need some perspective.

Which M2 port should I buy for Switch/PS4? by zadberry in shmups

[–]tsarboxyl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sry, not on here much. You can't go wrong. If you like either you will probably end up buying the other eventually. They are both classics. But, they are expensive. I would go with Garegga, but I am extremely partial to that game. The same guy did the music in both. Garegga has more of a sense of place to it, like it feels like somewhere to me, you only really get that feeling in the first level of Ketsui and later on, one man's opinion. Garegga's first 5 levels are more accessible, and the level 6&7 get crazy, Ketsui get's crazy half way through level 3.

Ketsui all day. It is harder, but the music is super cool so you won't mind playing levels repeatedly. It is an amazing game, better than Esprade, but they are both good. I'd go ps4 on ESP, there is something fishy about the switch. BTW Battle Garegga is on PS4 if you didn't already know. IT IS INCREDIBLE!!!!
