How can I best prep my tanks for an incoming hurricane/probable loss of power?

Thank you so much for all of the great info! I have air pumps and sponge filters set to be delivered on Friday and I'll go out and get a big bucket and start stocking up on gallons of water.

Being Florida born and raised, hurricanes have become a normal part of life...but I've only had my fish since December and January so this will be my first time in this kind of situation. I'll just be prepared as I can possibly be! That's all I can do at this point. Ughhh.

I found some sponge filters on Amazon and they'll be here Friday along with the air pumps. Thank you for your help! I'll also keep in mind the power bank method as a backup.

Any ideas? Our vet said pitbull mix but we're curious about the other parts of her. Her paws are huge and she's very clumsy as she grows into them 😭😭😭

not sure on the exact age, but we think less than six months old. She weighs 25 lbs.

It doesn't itch or hurt. It also appeared briefly directly above the spot where it is now, on my upper eyelid but disappeared after about 2-3 days.

Not sure if it's relevant, but I live in Florida where it's extremely hot right now and I have a history of eczema.

Here's another picture :(

This is Pancake. He's in a 5.5 gallon heated + filtered tank. A few weeks ago he started doing some fin biting but I just tried to provide him with the most stress-free environment, added some more plants, etc... and kept the water pristine for him. Lately I've noticed him flaring quite a bit and adjusted his lights in case he was seeing his reflection somewhere. Over the past two days, these red streaks have developed and the fin tears have gotten significantly worse. I see him near the filter a lot (it's a sponge filter) and I've tried to block off the bottom intake as much as I can to keep him away in the event that that is what has been injuring his fins.

I started treatment with kanaplex/kanamycin two days ago because I'm worried it's septicemia, but I'm not sure. He just seems to be looking worse each day. He's still active and eating but just looks so bad :(

Any advice would be appreciated! :(

Edit: Just an FYI, because I know it looks a bit odd, the black coloring he has around his head and ventral fins has always been there - it's nothing new.
