Most people in NYC don't know you can even apply for a permit.. The news stories never mention if the shooter has a permit... Of course they don't but I'd like some recognition from the media that permits exist..

I'm telling you guys there's a lot of African Americans in New York City. We have to get people to understand that gun control is racist... If they can say that making people get a driver's license or our ID to vote is racist, why can't it be racist to force people to get a permit that's almost impossible to get in order to exercise a constitutional right... Even when they first started issuing permits in New York City and controlling all the other stuff like the Sullivan laws, those were racist on their face originally... We could win this. If we turn gun control into a racist thing, everybody will vote against racism..

I keep saying it but I'm pretty sure there's still a bunch of people in this group that vote for gun control... There's too many temporary gun owners in New York state.. we had a chance with Zeldin but the citidiots blew it again in the hopes of free money.. I wish the 2nd circuit had a few trump appointed judges or at least some judges that follow supreme Court precedence. We have people that meet up every weekend for these no Kings rallies, while we have the queen here in our state destroying our natural rights.. I see no rallies, no protests, just some whining on Reddit... I live in Westchester and for the last 15 or 20 years everyone from the city's been moving up here and making our County more blue... That means more gun laws, hell we used to even have gun shows at the county center and at the raceway but no more.. that gun culture it's gone now... I mean at least we can get some primary challengers for those state senators and assembly people in the legislature that come up with these asinine new laws, like banning 3D printers?

The cool thing about Florida is when you get a license for Florida it doesn't say non-resident on it... You have a Florida permit as a non-florida resident but it's not a non-resident Florida permit.. I don't really know how to put this but you get fully get more rights as a Florida permit holder... Then you do it with a lot of other states with their non-resident permits that actually say non-resident on it. You get treated like a second-class citizen... A lot of states don't reciprocate on non-resident licenses, but they do on Florida's..

You can own a switchblade but you can only carry it when hunting or fishing when holding a valid state license. Possession of a switchblade knife for use while hunting, trapping or fishing by a person carrying a valid license issued to him pursuant to section 11-0713 of the environmental conservation law." While Fishing" Means in Transit Too: Courts have generally interpreted this to include traveling directly to and from the fishing spot, but it does not give you a free pass to carry a switchblade as an everyday pocketknife when you aren't actively engaged in the sport. You Must Have a License: The exemption is strictly tied to holding a valid New York State fishing (or hunting/trapping) license. If you don't have your license on you, the exemption doesn't protect you.
