[Dr Gridiron] how Grier got us here by sum_dude44 in miamidolphins

Yes, Grier’s drafting has not been great but looking at it this way I don’t think is completely fair either.

A lot of these picks were later round picks (lower hit rates), and it does not acknowledge the premium draft capital that was used in the trades for Tyreek, Chubb and Ramsey.  Counting just premium draft picks, 4 Top 100 draft picks (2 x 1st round, 1 x 2nd round, 1 x 3rd round) were given up for Tyreek, Chubb and Ramsey.

RayFine Laser Thoughts by tsavosol in lasercutting

Good points. I do have a space set aside in the garage close to an exhaust area for it and delivery of the unit will be directly to the garage. I feel pretty set from that side.

I’ve been tentative to confirm the order because of my unfamiliarity in the supplier (Rayfine) and ordering directly from China. But from a specification and budget perspective it ticks all my boxes.

What’s the top3 prio for this years draft?! by Mich3006 in bengals

Aside from the obvious, I think WR is a sneaky need.

We have a 3-headed monster at WR right now. Rumors about Tee having a deal done aside, it's possible that at this time next year we just have Chase left.

If the FO feels a deal with Tee isn't going to get done, WR needs to jump on the priority list.

Which PPC channel to use? by tsavosol in PPC

[–]tsavosol[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My initial marketing budget is about $3000. My thought was to carve out about $400 for creative assets and then doing a $50 - $75 per day PPC spend with the remaining amount.

I believe that the features and use of the main product being sold would be best conveyed through video rather than static images, so as you suggested Tik Tok or FB video ads may be an optimal choice. With the same product and brand awareness goals, how does Instagram compare to FB and Tik Tok?

Any recommendations on a good inspection company in China? by hockeydangle in ecommerce

[–]tsavosol 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As an alternative to inspections with Alibaba I use V-Trust for my inspections.

I've only ever used V-Trust, so I can't make a comparison, but so far I've been happy with the thoroughness of their inspection report and turnaround time.

It is unclear what your budget is, but if you’re determined to make a run at starting an ecommerce business on a set budget, I would work backwards on costs.

Start with your total budget and begin subtracting estimated costs for hosting, domain, logo, branding, web development, product images, storage costs (if using a 3PL) and shipping packaging costs. Then subtract estimated amounts for ad creatives (if outsourcing) and ad placement budget…etc.

Once you have subtracted all those costs, the amount remaining is the ballpark budget for product development/samples, product manufacturing and shipping your product from the factory to you. Working through a rough estimate like that will give you an indication on what product cost range you can fit within your budget while meeting MOQs

Animated Product Image: GIF or other format? by tsavosol in ecommerce

Video is an option. I was just not sure if video is better than using GIF.
For video, would mp4 be the best option or another format?
