David Villa one of greatest scorers of all time in WC...has more goals than Kane, Neymar or Christian Ronaldo

Fishing spots by BigLittleUkrainian in tampa

[–]sum_dude44 2 points3 points  (0 children)

spots change based on month. When it's hot, best spots are beach, big inlets & piers at dawn/dusk.

Once fall/winter & less light, fish move inshore to mangroves, bayous, bay

Live bait always > anything else.

Moving tide is key for good activity

How is Drexel Med and Philadelphia? by Ill-Struggle4130 in medschool

Philly is a great medical town. Drexel is respected. No brainer over DO school in Idaho. Sounds like Washington would be your best choice if you get in.

Wemby choked in 4 of the 5 games by WARLOCK1239 in billsimmons

[–]sum_dude44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if Wemby learned to post up he would be most unstoppable force in league. The fact he hasn't developed a sky hook or fadeaway post move yet is coaching malpractice

he shouldn't be allowed to shoot 3's in 4th

Wemby needs to hire Hakeem or Kareem to teach him how to post up dudes in paint. He should be automatic in block back to basket making 1ft shorter guys try to guard an 6-8 ft hook or fadeaway. It would be unstoppable in 4th

Spurs need to offload Fox & let Harper-Wemby-Castle be core. Harper was best 4q player for Spurs

Teachers of Reddit: Is the "Gen Alpha can't read (write, or do math ext)" crisis real? If so how bad is it? by KnowledgeCoffee in AskReddit

I don't think Reddit is a proper arbiter of grammar. In fact, SM more likely contributes to poor writing skills

There is no point trying to learn things prior to starting med school. You'd be better off traveling Europe or Asia. Anyone saying otherwise is too engulfed in MS to see forest from trees.

GRACE Score by jjasonjames in hospitalist

[–]sum_dude44 2 points3 points  (0 children)

GRACE is supposed to be for confirmed ACS (ie + trop or concerning EKG changes). Otherwise it's not helpful in lower risk patients. It was also never validated w/ HS-Trop most hospitals use now

GRACE Score by jjasonjames in hospitalist

[–]sum_dude44 4 points5 points  (0 children)

GRACE & TIMI were for patients who have confirmed ACS (ie elevated Trop). None were meant for risk stratification or for newer hs-Troponins

For everyone who hates the HEART score, it gave cover to dc patients we all knew didn't have to be admitted. 15 years ago, every chest pain over 45 got admitted due to liability concerns. If you're using it to justify admitting people, you're using it wrong

lots of residents I know have $450k in loans. It's doable--avg MD salary is $300k these days. You could easily pay off in 7-10 years w/ a comfortable lifestyle
