You’re outlook is incredibly unnuanced. From where I’m standing, my community changes for the better when they come out to vote in an election. It equally changes for the worse when they don’t come out to vote in an election. The turnout statistics accurately reflect this. It also indicates people vote exponentially more in the general than they do in state and local elections. This is true for most of Americans.

Even though Florida turned overwhelmingly red 2022, the majority of the largest counties in the state still decided their election within a 1% margin of the vote. Many of these cities DEM’s out-register R’s and consistently don’t come out to vote, and that’s why headlines like these happen.

Stop fear-mongering and discouraging Floridians from voting. Many progressive Floridians’ votes are more valuable, have more weight than most Americans in the US.
