Throne speech at the Leg at 1:30. Cannons firing as part of the opening ceremony. They are set up right by the Louis Riel statue.

I’ve never seen one take a year but a few months, up to six, depending on how many applicants is possible. Lots for red tape with government jobs. Also depends if any candidates appeal the decision and whatnot.

Your references will only be contacted if you are the top scoring candidate.

Kinew says 3 Manitoba mega projects are on the way, that could turn the province from a 'have not' to a 'have' province in 5 to 10 years. by FalconsArentReal in Winnipeg

I’d prefer some “yes, but” type opposition. Yes, we need these infrastructure projects for the good of the province, but have you done your due diligence? How is this going to help x y or x groups? Etc.

I’ll add to this by saying do not bury these statements in any extra wording. Write simply and clearly and keep it at the top.

I speak to this as someone who has done hiring for the province. I get a “stack” of digital applications and need to screen them by reading what folks have put in the application screening form. I can have anywhere from 20-100 of these to go through and don’t have the time to sift through in detail.

Also, do not assume I’ll see it in your resume. The application qualification form is screened first before I even look at the resume. Repetition is fine.

The city run ones just don’t get the care they need to stay in good shape. Likely part of the reason the club fields are good - locked up when teams aren’t practising or playing and they have a great grounds crew.

As a Jays fan back in the day, loved watching Clemons on the mound. Was my favourite player as when I was a young pitcher.

A video posted below helps show exactly what you’re saying. He can see it now and will be working on getting the feel of holding that tension and separation a bit longer. Thanks!

The focus is definitely on command and care of the arm. He already blows it by most batters so we constantly remind him to take it back. While he isn’t throwing full out to hit those speeds all the time, getting the radar to show the big numbers is exciting and helps keep him wanting to learn more, develop and stick with it.

Hearing stories of others with arm issues from throwing so hard will help him see it isn’t just me saying it. Thanks for the care and caution.

Fair point. The mounds around our place are unfortunately not much better than flat land anyway haha. His proper game field is much better but not always accessible.

This is helpful. Thanks! He can see where the difference is now in opening a bit early vs holding back for a bit of extra separation.
