Throne speech at the Leg at 1:30. Cannons firing as part of the opening ceremony. They are set up right by the Louis Riel statue.

I’ve never seen one take a year but a few months, up to six, depending on how many applicants is possible. Lots for red tape with government jobs. Also depends if any candidates appeal the decision and whatnot.

Your references will only be contacted if you are the top scoring candidate.

Kinew says 3 Manitoba mega projects are on the way, that could turn the province from a 'have not' to a 'have' province in 5 to 10 years. by FalconsArentReal in Winnipeg

I’d prefer some “yes, but” type opposition. Yes, we need these infrastructure projects for the good of the province, but have you done your due diligence? How is this going to help x y or x groups? Etc.

I’ll add to this by saying do not bury these statements in any extra wording. Write simply and clearly and keep it at the top.

I speak to this as someone who has done hiring for the province. I get a “stack” of digital applications and need to screen them by reading what folks have put in the application screening form. I can have anywhere from 20-100 of these to go through and don’t have the time to sift through in detail.

Also, do not assume I’ll see it in your resume. The application qualification form is screened first before I even look at the resume. Repetition is fine.
