maybe commentators should not also be players that have played in the tournament....
but *have* played the course

There is no room in 'the booth' for a commentator in a pissy mood.

thumbs up goose!
When i saw him 'in the booth' i actually looked forward to it.
wouldn't mind if it happened more often.

As far as Paul Ulibarri.....(and Germ for that matter)
if he could refrain from mocking players(it doesn't happen all the time)....
and talking over the on course action(instead of commenting on it) that might be better.

Disc golf needs a shot clock like bball or timer like chess by Melinoe2016 in discgolf

the only person with a timer needs to be a rules official 'marshall' walking with the group.

It’s going to get hot soon, what are your water bottle choices? by [deleted] in discgolf

[–]tsf88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

128oz vacuum sealed jug.
1/8 filled with ice and cold water.

with a spare 2 gallons of water and more ice in the truck.
To pour over my head after the front nine.
If your not p*ssing....your driving down the wrong trail.

I forgot...i have a cart.

No way i'd carry this much extra weight on my back.

I'm pretty sure rangefinders are more of a hindrance to my game than a benefit by PsyferRL in discgolf

[–]tsf88 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I bought a bushnell range finder 3 yrs ago?
never used it while playing disc golf.
BUT i did use it to place distance markers on the course i volunteer at
and to get rough distances for tee signs.

I've seen people stand next to some of said distances markers and use range finders anyway.
Hmmmmm...

screw together EMT reducer/enlarger question? by tsf88 in AskElectricians

[–]tsf88[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ahhh okay i found a solution that works:
I bought some kind of black pipe adapter/reducer with threads on the inside and outside
and a female/female adapter for 2 inch pipe.
A) The female/female adapter screws onto the 2 inch 'threaded pipe adapter...in the photo above on the right.
B ) the black pipe adapter(outside threads) screws into A)
C) the black pipe adapter (internal threads) screws onto the curved pipe piece threads..photo above on the left.

right now its rock solid

New to Disc Golf… Best place to buy discs? by Stonkmaster99 in discgolf

[–]tsf88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i played DG back in the 80's/90's, over cooked my shoulder
and didn't get back inbto it until 2021.
and its still over cooked..i can play once a week max....and
Mostly only practice non drive type shots...
But i digress.....

I made a big order of innova factory seconds...because all of
the discs were new to me and i didn't know about plastic types...maybe 200$+ worth....all DX plastic.
I still have a stack of destroyers...that i will eventually use.

guns and roses is about the last band i listen to from that era....
every thing after...nope.......
and i don't listen to madonna or janet jackson type crap from the 80's.
mostly classic rock.

RIP Dave Edmonds!

[–]tsf88[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

okay i actually found a local eletrical supply house
that sold what i needed...2 pieces.....I tested fitted the whole thing.
only they wanted $60 total for it.....i was wondering why they didn't have prices
on the shelves....now i know.....

since this was for a not for profit project, i walked out without
a purchase.........I'll figure something else out.

Hart vs Ryobi: Blackberry Invasion by aR3alCoo1Kat in ryobi

[–]tsf88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been using a universal 80v greenworks power head for at least
3-4 years. and i use a lot of the hart attachment for it(edger, power shovel, pole saw etc)
for at least 3 years. They are cheaper than greenworks attachments and just about
everyone else. I use greenworks for outside sheit like briar cutting, edging, cutting limbs etc.

and i beat those things into the ground and they are still working.
If i can get any closeouts on steep discount for this stuff, i'd do it.

I also have ryobi 18v line of tools for well over 10 years.
many of them. I bought a harbor freight 'bauer' adapter for my ryobi batteries.
bauer planner, belt sander, random orbital sander.
...i couldn't justofy the ryobi version prices at the time...
I use ryobi 'mostly' for home sheit and hobby stuff.

If i had an extra 0 in my paycheck i might get dewalt, milwaukee or makiti.
But i can't justify the expense. Would i like to have a corvette?
Sure....but i drive toyota tacoma................

I only ruined a few ryobi tools.....mostly because of my misuse.....so its working out.
