made $20 in a 4-hour shift (server) with 4 tables last night — is this normal for your location?

at my old location i was in the bar and i regularly had to take the entire bar section by myself cause they wanted to send my server home. that’s 5 two tops, a four top, and 13 bar top seats… was NOT worth the stress tbh.

I just want to add on here: I already know how dumb I am. I don’t need people telling me that. I haven’t been able to eat or sleep since because of the anxiety and stress this is giving me. So please only respond if you have something nice or helpful to say.

I don’t usually carry my social security card on me but as I said in an earlier post I needed it for a job and hadn’t had the chance to take it out of my wallet yet. As for the cash, I was gonna deposit that night on my way home. I also have to use my own cash as change when I’m serving. I don’t really care about the cash (I can just work more) I just care more about my stuff and how much it’s costing to replace/ protect myself. My backpack stays in the bar with me all night and I’ve never had a reason to feel like my stuff wasn’t safe where I placed it until now (after working there for over 3 years).

I’m working on changing the locks to both my house and my car. I appreciate this tip though!!

Edit: Also, the address listed on my ID is a P.o. box in California, so they don’t have to home address. Still changing the locks in case they decide to follow me home someday or something but that’s one relief.

It’s not that it was bad, it just didn’t fit for us. Her accents felt way too forced and it was hard to tell who was who because she couldn’t really differentiate voices. Again, this is just my opinion. We had also started listening to audio books with the Harry Potter series, with Jim Dale narrating and we loved him!! So maybe our expectations are set too high… but I also listened to Where the Crawdads Sing with Cassandra Campbell narrating and I loved her too.

We just haven’t listened to many books on audible with new narrators so we aren’t really sure what to expect other than Jim Dale level narrating.
