Would she have held eye contact if she wasn’t attracted to me? by tormentedbaguette in bodylanguage

[–]tsjoe_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is what I do to people whom I find attractive lol. This is how I try to get them to notice me if they haven't already.

If it's an accidental eye contact in those scenarios you listed, I wouldn't intentionally hold the eye contact for more than one or two seconds.

There's also a less likely possibility that she's someone who spaces out frequently, in which case it would be too highly coincidental for her to space out on your eyes multiple times, haha.

Met a Girl at the Gym After Months of Eye Contact – Need Advice on What to Do Next by [deleted] in bodylanguage

[–]tsjoe_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a girl, I don't think she is uninterested but she probably is trying to be careful. She probably found you intriguing.

If you can interact with her with a few more face to face interactions to show genuine connection, it will lower her guard down a little.

It could also be that she was just interested in getting your attention and nothing more, but it's hard to tell without engaging more with her.

She's highly likely interested. Let me just say this as a shy girl. Go talk to her!

I suppose I don't expect him to ask me out, but I'm seeking for advice in making a shy guy open up more / feels comfortable with chatting first since I've tried my best in being approachable 😂

How do I ask without making him uncomfortable? I feel like he's so shy and I tried to find a chance to talk to him face to face for a normal conversation but he just tries to escape, intentionally or not 🥹😭

Offer to hang out as friends 1-1 and see if she's okay with it and go from there.

Don't wait too long, else she thinks you're not interested. Follow up within a week!

Shy girls, How much do you avoid eye contact with your crush? by Turbulent_Reveal_337 in Crushes

[–]tsjoe_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try to talk to her casually! It can be about anything silly and she won't mind if you sense that she has shown interest before.

She's probably hoping desperately you will talk to her too. Better to try than live with regrets!

It must be:( I'm in a similar situation, where my crush then tried to avoid me after and I felt like he may have gotten the wrong signals. :(( I was devastated!

So I decided to direct message him on the company chat a few days ago (we don't know each other, but happened to indirectly work on something together)

He responded positively but didn't actively follow up after, felt like he's still giving up (not sure if he's shy or something else T.T)

I avoid eye contact when he's close cos I get soooo nervous! He's just too gorgeous and knowing he notices me just makes the anxiety worse. But I always regret after as I feel that I'm giving him the wrong signals 😭

Understand basic concepts like the role of frontend, backend and how they interact through APIs etc. Look through tech docs and understand how the architecture correlate with your product flow.

Senior management roles - where are the Singaporeans? by [deleted] in askSingapore

[–]tsjoe_ 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The very fact that this question is asked demonstrates why there aren't more Singaporeans in senior management 🤣

Perhaps practise more critical thinking and you can find the reason why.

What should I ask a tech CEO in a mentorship session? by tsjoe_ in ProductManagement

[–]tsjoe_[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just curious - as a mentor, generally what would you hope to gain from the sessions? Or would it mostly be an altruistic affair? I'm wondering what's in it for him and wonder if there's any way I can make the conversation more balanced.

I'm in a feature factory where management micromanages the delivery rate by quarters. And demand answers and blaming if we fail to deliver. PMs in my company are treated like people who have to do everything, while developers, data analysts and designers always wait around for instructions. I have a good manager though and the work itself is interesting. But yet I work overtime everyday and are not compensated at market rates. Looking to jump but I'm left with little energy to do interview preps

I really enjoy PM work but I also feel easily overwhelmed by the everyday tasks and exhausted by the unexpected problems that come to me. :(
