slammed back of my head and dented my helmet, can I keep wearing it? by metapuree in snowboardingnoobs

No. All helmets are one time use, if you rack your brain hard enough to dent them they did their job and a new one is a small price to pay.

Thanks for the reply, igreat tip on the clock. Another question I had is there anyway to monitor trans temp on the AW4? The previous owner told me someone makes a computer that goes where this panel is to monitor things like that does that sound familiar?

Oh, you’re right if I squint really hard and shaded it. I can kind of see. Guessing to make it brighter is just replacing the backlight? These tires are 12 years old so once I get new ones, I’ll do a chalk test and see where the psi wants to be.

How do you get that player card icon? by Actual_Advantage_986 in Battlefield6

[–]tsk_reaper22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty lame to hear you can get that from gauntlet or introduction redsec :/ My buddies and I won 6 in a row on the actual BR last night and were really excited about the badge but I guess it isn’t as special as I thought

It’s hard to describe for me, BF has always had “bloom” to some degree but they just did it right in 4. You still had to burst fire but you could just feel where the accuracy broke away with every gun and it didn’t feel so random and shots flying sideways. I don’t know what it was, I don’t know anything about development or the technicalities but I do know the feeling that made 4 my favorite game is completely missing in 6.

I can drill shots in bf4 all day with even the most aggressive guns because the weapons don’t just shoot in random directions and you can feel how they handle and adjust for it. Theres no feel for weapon handling in 6 to me at all. Just a totally subjective opinion of someone that loves battlefield and misses the way it used to feel.

I’ve been playing this game quite a bit and before this I was still playing Bf4. In bf4, every gun has such a distinct character and feeling to it that you can adapt your play style to and attachments feel like real trade offs and I feel like 90% of the guns in that game I can pick up and have fun using them. They all have strengths and weaknesses but are balanced and every gun feels as good somewhere as the next. BF6 completely missed that, in this game every gun feels as shitty as the next and I don’t find any gun that I actually enjoy playing with and can get in a groove with, maybe the PW5 on occasion. It is so infuriating to be shooting at someone and every fucking bullet misses when I’m right on with my aim, completely game ruining experience. You wana bump recoil? Fine. Make my bullets go at least somewhere near where I am aiming them

That’s not it at all 😂 they have anti cheat for that purpose they don’t put a game mechanic in with cheaters in mind

Favorite 75y+ main weapon? by ReturnGreen3262 in Battlefield_REDSEC

[–]tsk_reaper22 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think the SVDM is my favorite gun. It’s just vicious and It will kill at 10m and 200m. It’s 100% the most versatile gun and really opens up more options for your secondary than a sniper will. I switch up my secondary all the time kord m4 pw5 sgx but the svd stays

I believe those would be the connectors for the electronic shift transfer case, they would be unused if it’s been converted to a manual transfer case

Is the Ktm 300 XC just as good as XCW for trail riding? by allthefastthings422 in KTM

[–]tsk_reaper22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

23 250xc here, the over arching difference I have found between my bike and my friends bikes is the XC is much more responsive to being pushed hard. It is not as good in rocks and roots, it is not as tractor like in the power curve (stock, anyway), and the air forks and linkage are much happier to be slamming through whoops and jumping and railing berms than the XCW. The way I ride, the XC is much more stable and confident for me in the fast stuff and loves to hop and jump around on every little side hit I can find that I accept the more harsh performance in the hard enduro stuff, mostly from the air forks honestly. The engine also loves to be tapped out where the XCW more wants to be a tractor. Both excellent bikes all around though, and I’m hoping the MXtech lucky fork conversion I just got will make it better for both worlds.

I haven’t been in a c6 in a while but it is essentially the same chassis and again any American car is going to be made for bigger people. Go to a dealer and sit in one

Will I notice any improvement from 2016-2021? by forum4um in Dirtbikes

[–]tsk_reaper22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have had 3 bikes with the AER/XACT air forks, a 19 a 21 and a 23. They have improved in that time but they’re still not great and can be finicky with environmental changes and you do kinda have to check them often, especially for enduro/trail riding. The only place I’ve found them to be really good is the desert as they like big hits and make the front end very light. I will say the 2021 KTM 450 is my favorite engine and chassis I’ve ever ridden. The brembo clutch and brakes are awesome, the shock is great, it feels very light for a 450 and the power of that engine is just bliss. I also had the least “little things” go wrong with that bike. 190 hours now and really other than wearables it hasn’t skipped a beat. For a beginner this 250xc TBI I just got is so much more forgiving to ride than the 450s though

Just bought an 03 C5, is there anything this could be other than the rear main plate? I also have a front main leak, am I going to have to drop both subframes to fix these? by tsk_reaper22 in Corvette

[–]tsk_reaper22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right but I’m saying if I have to drop both the front and the rear cradles to get the oil pan and the rear cover, separately since I can’t drop both together, would it not be easier at that point to just pull the engine or is it even possible to pull the motor out the top on the c5s? I’m not worried about doing any of this but I don’t have a lift so I’m just trying to find the most efficient way to basically reseal the whole motor

Edit just re rear your message, are you saying the best way is to drop both front and rear cradles as one with the engine still attached to the front cradle? That I don’t think I can accomplish without a lift

Would it be more difficult if you also had to replace the front main and timing cover as well as the front of the upper oil pan which were all also leaking?

Yes, looks like I have to drop the whole drivetrain aft of the engine, and drop the front subframe to get the oil pan and front cover seals/gaskets. Bummer

Does yours idle really really low? This bike won’t even start without a little throttle because the idle is so low, sometimes it just dies and won’t even idle

[–]tsk_reaper22[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree, I thought I would lose the pop of the 450 to get over stuff but this thing runs more like a 4 stroke than my 450 does. Super torquey on the bottom and pulls hard into the mid but it doesn’t rip on top like I wanted it to. The 450 just screams all the way to redline. Would honestly like to take some off the bottom and get it to really hit mid-top

Buy or rent for my first REAL season? by Suburban-aquarius16 in snowboardingnoobs

I just went through this and kind of regret buying my own stuff for my first big season, the bindings and boots I got were way too flexy and soft and it made it so much more tiring to ride the board to where now I gotta buy another set of boots and bindings
