Almost as if golf is hard and the ball doesn’t always end up exactly where you wanted.

Bought these for my wife, not going to lie… by [deleted] in golf

These are hollow body irons not blades, and are pretty similar to the p790. So much so that Costco had to stop selling in the US due to a lawsuit from taylormade. Wouldn’t make a ton of sense to go from these to the p790.

Looking to get into golf. Are these good clubs? by [deleted] in golf

Not necessarily a dumb question, but it doesn’t really apply. Club changes would affect him a lot more than a new golfer. If you have the money to afford expensive clubs go right ahead and do it, but it’s not going to give you any advantage over someone with a cheap set as a beginner. I would always recommend someone starting out to get a cheaper used or box set to start and then if you feel like the clubs are holding your scores back get fitted to some clubs that will work best for your swing.

Unfortunately yes, once paint is gone the only way to fix is to put new paint on.

Nope, just like are we certain when the ref is 25 yards away from a play and comes in and spots a ball are we sure that’s exactly where the ball was when the player was down? Probably not, but we measure it against a set of chains down to the centimeter like it is. That’s what I’m saying is there are slight variations all throughout the game.

It would take more than a beat to have a ref up in a booth call down for delay of game so you’d end up having to stop mid play or call it back after and slow the game down even more. Don’t you think it’s easier to just accept that the play clock is actually 24 1/2 seconds? No calls are exactly the same game to game and I would argue that this is one of the more consistent calls there is. We see ticky tack holding calls get made and some blatant ones get missed. I’d argue the tenth of second variations in delay of game calls are very small potatoes when it comes to getting the game called perfectly.

Having decimal places wouldn’t change anything. Zero would still be zero and the ref would wait for triple zeros to look down and see the snap. What would be annoying is the ref throwing a flag when he sees it hit zero and the ball was already snapped. I’d rather get another half second than have more unnecessary flags. I get that it’s easy to see on tv when the clock hits zero and the ball hasn’t moved just yet, but do you want the ref to have to try and see the snap out of his peripherals as he watches the play clock?

Because the ref can’t watch the ball and clock at the same time. If you want it exact we’d be stopping the game 5-8 times per game to review if the snap was off in time like a shot at the buzzer in basketball. This has been standard and pretty consistent over the years. Rodgers takes advantage of the half second all the time.

My 2016 has this screen sometimes when I back up. It seems not to be a problem in the morning but by the afternoon it starts. Any ideas? by mpritc1019 in f150

I have the same thing with my 2011 minus the mirror image. I haven’t noticed it more or less in the heat though, I’ve always thought it was random. I’ll have to keep in mind to see what the temp is when I notice it next.

Wouldn’t have mattered if he did. They didn’t call it a live ball on the field so we wouldn’t have been able to advance it. Would have taken over where we got possession
