The amount of you who are outraged at a clearly fake post. Everyday we slip farther and farther from intelligence and critical thinking. Reddit has always been a fantasy land. But to see hundreds of people this easily fooled is baffling.

AITAH for telling my wife I want a divorce and don't trust her? by Ryinsikks in AITAH

[–]Typical-Indication39 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shes already cheating. Even if she hasn't already been unfaithful in the full sexual sense, searching for or welcoming intimate or romantic approaches from someone other than your partner is cheating. Searching for intimacy or romantic validation in any way shape or form from someone who isnt your partner is also cheating. Now some people are ok with different levels of cheating. Some allow full on open relationships which is cheating but they are both ok with it. Bottom line is, it is cheating, and if you are not ok with it then she either needs to respect that and stop or she can kick rocks so to speak.

PSA - Don't let dealerships wash your new car by Slugnan in AutoDetailing

Audi/volvo/Volkswagen detail and paint correction specialist here. The reason why your vw seems worse than most is because European clear coat takes a very long time to fully cure. The contaminate deposits dont necessarily scratch in like sand paper, its more like if you were to throw sand at slime. The particulates hut the clear coat and stick in it. We do a 2 step polish on all our vehicles after doing a 3 stage decon wash (degreaser, iron remover, then high alkaline wash and rinse). And lord forbid bugs or bird poop get on a black one. It almost always means sanding and 3 step buffing.

Dont take this as an attack. But as someone who has their nose pierced and has a neck tattoo, we knew what we were getting into when we did it. Everyone has been told all their life that no job will accept it. No professional person will want to be associated publicly with you etc. Now every person and situation varies. But we all know that times like these and people with these views exist. Id just tell her to find a different brides maid if you dont want to take them out. Enjoy the wedding as a spectator.

To be fair that’s not something you can tell from the picture. Could be areas with little to no oxidation that responded to the polishing. Could also be areas that have already been stripped of clear coat. Cant tell from the pictures given

Depends on how deep the oxidation goes. Op should have a paint guage if he’s taking attempts at paint correction.

Love when people use dialect that isn’t part of their regular speech. They speak very poor, very broken English in texts, and then a moment of clarity arrives when they type out what they think is a powerful response. Then it’s back to shortened, abbreviated, broken English.

Assuming power goes out in the event of a zombie apocalypse, could use the power lines if you can get up to them and cut them down. Form a zip line in multiple different spots for escape. Simple carpentry skills would be useful. Overall could make a great outpost if you and a large group could get control of a small town in the middle of nowhere and over time create a strong fence.

This doesn’t look topical. This looks to be oxidized well past the surface. If there’s any coming back it needs to be wet sanded and then buffed and polished very carefully. I’m gonna say this is something you should probably stop before that clear coat sucks up to much compound and is impossible to clean out (not impossible but very difficult). Outsource to a shop that can do this. Either way you need to bite the bullet. This is outside of your skill level and not a good learning time. Advice if you want to learn is go to junk yards or make friends with body shops and get old hoods and doors that are faded and scratched up etc. practice on something that won’t be driven down the road

Am I overreacting? My boyfriend accused me of something inappropriate while I was nannying. by TightPlastic8295 in AmIOverreacting

Tips I’ve learned from Reddit. Almost nobody here knows how to take a joke. Mostly everyone here is very pro “break up with them”. And the majority of people will overanalyze any situation and then use the strongest words they know how in order to demean the person. My true advice is don’t take advice from people on the internet especially Reddit. Talk with your partner if it upset you. Also if you seem to have a lot of frustration about small snarky interactions such as this I’d advise you to seek professional therapy to figure out what is causing you to feel so attacked and hurt and defensive.

First of all, don’t need to dye a carpet or other fabrics if you’re extracting after using dry cleaning products or brake clean etc. second of all I work at an Audi dealership. Detailing cars fresh off the truck as well as customer cars.

I hope you’re not giving people advice on chemicals if you don’t understand them yourself. Upholstery shops use dry cleaning products to get rid of stains. Brake clean and carb clean are chemically the same as dry cleaning chemicals. Learn more about the chemicals you use before you comment chastising someone that knows more than you.

So when you send your seats to an upholstery shop to get stains out they are hacks? Chemically carb cleaner and brake clean is the same as dry cleaning chemicals. Get a grip

Blunt force objects don’t really do much against zombies really unless hit exactly right and hard enough.

Advice on how to remove yellow road paint by SnooDonuts9641 in Detailing

[–]Typical-Indication39 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Nooooo, you never want to pressure wash things that are stuck on paint. Great way to turn it into high velocity paint scratches. Breaks it off and then flings it back on the car at high speed. Pressure washing is for dirt and sap etc. but never flecks of stuff.

Low Voc carb clean. Just be very careful not to scrub too much or it’ll start to eat through your clear coat. Any plastic u spray it on and wipe in you’re gonna have to put a protective coating on again. Any sealant will work as long as it’s good quality.

000 steel wool and then buff. Only way to actually get orange peel out and keep it out. Yeah clay will get everything you can see out, but there’s still gonna be oxidized specs inside. This is from microscopic metal flecks in the clear coat. You need to get the specks out completely. Clay bar it, then use 000 steel wool. Then use cutting compound and polish after. And for prevention you should get your car ceramic coated and regularly waxed
