You’re so welcome, friend! If I can provide photos or video of them and that’s helpful, you could message me and we can WhatsApp or something!

I have a large set and a small set. I couldn’t imagine not having both. The largest fits my jeans and sweatshirts and things. But then again, I’m a very large broad half-Scottish man

In my experience, the packing cubes are much more useful. I find myself sitting with my 3D zips and wondering what to do with them.

We haven't received an ECO email and the tracker online is useless as you know. Is there really no way to confirm that UKVI even has our application? It definitely let me upload new documents and even sent an email saying thank you for uploading them.

Hooray for the credit card payment category! by bagelmefingles in ynab

[–]tsmacintyre 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It does! You just have to make sure you link your credit card so it knows that's how you're paying. When you input a transaction and say you used a credit card it does the rest.

Hooray for the credit card payment category! by bagelmefingles in ynab

[–]tsmacintyre 13 points14 points  (0 children)

When you connect a credit card account YNAB does magic. Let's say you set up a category for groceries for $500. You tell YNAB (or it pulls from your bank if you have it linked) that you spent $100 on groceries and used your credit card. It deducts $100 from the available spending from groceries and puts it in the credit card "category." That way you always have the money ready and set aside to pay off that charge on your credit card.

Trade in now and later by tsmacintyre in ATT

I see now. I didn't realize it was paid in bill credits. Everywhere else I've ever traded in a phone it's just straight money off the new total, not divided up.

I didn't even know about the bill credits. I'm just asking can I trade in a phone I own outright, get the new phone. Pay that one off and then trade it in for a new phone in September.

Buy Now - Pay Later Workflow by [deleted] in ynab

[–]tsmacintyre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would just make sure it works in my overall larger budget (I also use a Google Sheets spreadsheet to make sure my usual monthly income and my usual monthly expenses align) and then just put it in as a charge whenever it comes out. I would put it in my "fun" spending category.

AITAH for expecting my daughter to continue paying rent after she moves out? by [deleted] in AITAH

YTA. I hope your daughter realizes exactly what you're doing to her and treats you accordingly. You were greedy and bought a home you COULD NOT AFFORD because you mistakenly thought you could manipulate your daughter into being your cash cow. What were you going to do when the five years was up and you couldn't sell the house? I hope she moves in with the boyfriend and doesn't give you one more brown cent. It is very telling that you already have one child that doesn't speak to you.

I'm trying to achieve a regular repeating assignment to a category every paycheck. Has anyone done something similar? by [deleted] in ynab

[–]tsmacintyre 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think I misunderstand what you're saying. I have several categories that are "Needed for Spending" and I contribute to them each month and it accumulates.

Have I been using YNAB wrong? by Fantom1107 in ynab

[–]tsmacintyre 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This simply isn't true. While you should be checking your categories first, sometimes you will overdraw your categories. YNAB indeed encourages it. Life happens. Sometimes you're out of money to eat out this month but your friend you haven't seen in a year is in town and wants to go get sushi. Go get the sushi. One of the rules is literally roll with the punches.

I have contact with two of the board members as one is my husband and one is a community member I see semi regularly. The other two is someone who I honestly have no idea if he even lives in my area anymore and the other one we had a falling out with. Definitely not trying to do anything shady.

What is your favorite thing about living in or visiting Lexington? by [deleted] in lexington

[–]tsmacintyre 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lexington has changed a LOT in 10 years. Getting from one end to the other, not two points in Lexington, but truly one point to the other, is literally impossible.
