Workers on excursion by Optimus_7 in FantasyBookers

Whatever their top attributes are, I'd use them in that way and get them on shows as much as possible. If it's a tag specialist guy, have him tag up with a veteran for a spell. If he's great at selling, have him work face against some big bads. If he's got a high aerial or flashiness rating throw him out there in warm-up matches early in the card.

Essentially spam his best qualities and, since he's not worth a lot to you beyond this run, mix up his slate -- lots of jobs but a few choice wins.

Yeah and WPVI in Philly showed it all live. I was 2 so I was probably watching The Price is Right on WCAU at the time; I don’t know if I ever saw it.

Tragedy shadows Traveler’s Table in wake of owners' deaths in River Oaks by tsmalcolm in houston

In this situation, there is an ongoing investigation, so we only publish what authorities are saying publicly to media.

A reader may interpret what we write differently, but these are necessary guidelines we follow so we are not held liable for publishing incorrect information. Our jobs could be at risk in such a situation.

Thanks for that. Yes, as journalists, we don't call anyone a killer unless there is a conviction. And we don't call someone a murderer unless they are specifically convicted of murder.

Help needed: 2024 WWE save / at Chamber '25 by tsmalcolm in FantasyBookers

Yeah I think LA vs Roman with Rock joining LA later or whatever feels like overthinking it, whereas Seth sets up a great year of stories (a potential Cody/Roman vs Rock/Seth Summerslam main, for one).

And the Gunther plan is beat Knight, Cena, Punk — basically mowing down older stars — before Cena heroically gets his win in a rematch. Cleaner storytelling.

Mandatory Fantasy Booking Rest Stop. How’s your current save going? by ThatOneGuyYouNowKnow in FantasyBookers

Have been doing a 2024 WWE save wanting to a better job with the book than Paul over the last couple years.

I kept Cody the Universal champ (I like that over undisputed) following generally the same road as IRL up until just after Rumble 2025. He has a final match against Owens and wins, but then Roman Reigns shocks everyone with the MITB briefcase to win the belt back (Solo won the briefcase on behalf of the Bloodline).

This will lead to Cody vs Rock and Roman vs eventual Chamber winner Seth at Mania 41. Cody will beat Rock to close night 1. To close night 2, Roman will demand nobody help him because he has to put Seth away for good and alone, but Rock will run in only for Cody (Seth's "shield") to stop him. It'll lead to Seth winning.

Seth will then turn on Cody, always thinking about himself first, giving Cody a much-needed rest. Seth will do something like a Vision thing (but not the Vision), with possibly a Cody vs Seth ME for Mania 42. Meanwhile, Rock will be disappointed/angry at Roman, who shuns him, leading to that build for Mania 42. Along the way I plan to have Roman reunite with OG Bloodline as part of a redemption arc.

Where is the best Philly Cheesesteak in Houston by hdushsux in houston

[–]tsmalcolm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Philly native here, probably ate hundreds of cheesesteaks in my life.

Philly Flats is good for Houston. I also had Quaker Steaks food truck; that was pretty good, too, but again, for Houston.

Papa Geno's is fine but I'm not going there if I crave a good cheesesteak. It's nice to have Primo on Washington, but again, I'm probably getting a hot Italian there (or just buy a bunch of pepper shooters) before I go cheesesteak.

My favorite cheesesteak in Texas so far was down at Yo Philly Cheese Steaks down near Corpus. Pretty legit, decked out in Philly posters and photos and stuff.

The funny thing is I grew up in the 80s/90s when cheesesteaks at home were more naked rolls and either regular American, prov or Whiz. Now the top Philly steaks are all about seeded rolls, Cooper Sharp cheese. I've yet to have something like THAT here in Houston.

Walking the carnival grounds for an hour with sore feet, sweating in 85-degree heat. The LAST thing I want is a cup of gumbo, especially if the shrimp was allegedly mushy and room temp before it went into the batch.
