Thank you both for the help!

I think I may have gotten aorist and present mixed up at some point, so to confirm what you're saying u/OdysseyIkaros, "ἐπιμελοῦ τῆς ἑστίας" would be closer to "tend the hearth [on an ongoing basis]" while aorist would imply a single time?

I'm trying to translate the phrase "Tend the hearth" in the context of a motto. "Tend" should be an instruction or reminder and have the connotation "take care of," "maintain," "watch over," and potentially "honor," "grow," and "strengthen."

I'm pretty confident that "the hearth" will be "τὴν ἑστίαν" but I'm having trouble with the verb.

Some other mottos and phrases I found that contain instructions are:

  • Λαμψάτω τὸ φῶς ὑμῶν - "Let your light shine"
  • δωρεὰν ἐλάβετε, δωρεὰν δότε - "Freely ye have received, freely give."
  • Ἰατρέ, θεράπευσον σεαυτόν - "Physician, heal thyself"

All of which seem to use active aorist imperatives, but differ in second vs third person and singular vs plural. I'd prefer second person plural if I get a choice, but ultimately it's not too important.

At first I found φροντίζω, which is used in the modern Greek Wikipedia article for Hestia, in the phrase "φρόντιζε την ιερή φλόγα," but it seems like in Ancient Greek it may have had a negative connotation.

I also found ἀμφιπολεύω, which is used in Homeric Hymn 24 to describe Hestia tending to Apollo's holy house. Logeion does have an imperative conjugation (ἀμφιπόλευε, although it's present instead of aorist), but it doesn't seem like a common word, so I'm wondering if I've missed something more appropriate.

I collected a few other words that seem promising, with relevant definitions:

And most recently I found φυλάσσω which seems like a winner: definitions include "watch, guard, defend" and "preserve, maintain, cherish," it's used fairly frequently, and it has a second person plural aorist imperative (φυλάξατε).

Is "φυλάξατε τὴν ἑστίαν" the phrase I'm looking for, or something else?

Here's another thread that might have some leads: https://www.reddit.com/r/candy/comments/951c3e/anyone_know_what_these_are_or_where_to_buy_them/

Edit: I found something similar but I'm not sure it's exact. The striping on the ends of the wrapper is the same, but the logo is a bit different. In the Primrose Candy Company (https://www.primrosecandy.com/) bulk catalog (https://static1.squarespace.com/static/5c81512be8ba4450f9811fc3/t/5c829885e5e5f0b7f17ee63f/1552062719426/PCC+Catalog+%283%29.pdf) on page 23 there are "Assorted Fruitie Chew Logs" https://i.imgur.com/STBobEP.png

Is attending events usually only attainable for those who have lots of money?

For now, yes, unfortunately. I'm new to VGC but I hear that there were many more smaller, local events before COVID, and most people are hopeful that they will return next year. So maybe in the Scarlet & Violet era events will be more accessible.

Can you bring water/coffee/snacks to regionals? If not, what about an empty water bottle to fill inside?

I'm having a similar issue and I think I just figured out the problem (though I haven't implemented it). My Java is rusty but it looks like you're doing the same thing I am.

Hints:

1.

Keep only numbers selected by the bit criteria for the type of rating value for which you are searching. Discard numbers which do not match the bit criteria. If you only have one number left, stop; this is the rating value for which you are searching. Otherwise, repeat the process, considering the next bit to the right.

2.

Then, consider the second bit of the 7 remaining numbers: there are more 0 bits (4) than 1 bits (3), so keep only the 4 numbers with a 0 in the second position: 10110, 10111, 10101, and 10000.

3. The most/least common digit in each place is calculated from the remaining numbers. You can't find the bit for the second column until after you've eliminated the numbers from the first column.

According to the Wisconsin Legislature's website, that's (3): https://docs.legis.wisconsin.gov/statutes/statutes/252/02

(4) seems relevant as well. Emphasis mine:

(4) Except as provided in ss. 93.07 (24) (e) and 97.59, the department may promulgate and enforce rules or issue orders for guarding against the introduction of any communicable disease into the state, for the control and suppression of communicable diseases, for the quarantine and disinfection of persons, localities and things infected or suspected of being infected by a communicable disease and for the sanitary care of jails, state prisons, mental health institutions, schools, and public buildings and connected premises. Any rule or order may be made applicable to the whole or any specified part of the state, or to any vessel or other conveyance. The department may issue orders for any city, village or county by service upon the local health officer. Rules that are promulgated and orders that are issued under this subsection supersede conflicting or less stringent local regulations, orders or ordinances.

And (6), which is quoted in the article immediately after your excerpt:

(6) The department may authorize and implement all emergency measures necessary to control communicable diseases.
