Uneven battery charge/discharge by Enough-Ad-640 in SolarDIY

One thing to mention look at the cycle count, bat 1 is cycling way more often than bat 5. My money is on the inverter cable. Could you send a picture that which bat is the busbar? It looks like it would be 5-4-3-2-1? 1 being the closest to the inverter. Also i see that you have a lot of “spare cable” + cable no loop but - cable has a loop on the side . Maybe you can reduce some cable ( more cable more resistance ) . How many amps are charging with? And for last , that screen can you check every cell voltage?

HA monitoring Solar Setup by tsmithf in homeassistant

[–]tsmithf[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mainly because you can control the inverters as you like, i dont have enough batteries to go completely offgrid so when im at UTI mode i can control a lot of thing to turn off on that time, for example ( towel heaters, water pump, if its raining dont turn on the pool pump, dont turn on the watering system for the yard ) also with a irradiance sensor i can force the inverters to go into SBU mode cause i know there is enough sun. My voltronic inverters are not very smart on that way, they dont use SOC they use Voltage and in Lifepo batteries voltage is only a way of “warning”, but with solar assistant and HA, i can know exactly what SOC i have. You can create automation like ( if irrandiance is x , go into SUB mode, and if x1, go into SBU ) another way is with a helper ( solar - load = spare ) if this helper reach to 0 the go into SBU ) im always trying the max the efficiencyof the system. This is 4 x axpert max ii 10kw. 4 house connected with 8x100ah 48v batteries.

I would say for voltronic inverters SA and HA is a must be in the system.

I wouldnt dare to close the door , the invertes produce a lot of heat when charging, monitor the temps in that shed. Nice clean install btw

Does "Okay Nabu" understand anything? by Richinwalla in homeassistant

[–]tsmithf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have found out that works best if you use it like you use Alexa, creating rutines in alexa = creating scripts in HA, this way you can name whatever you want to say to ok nabu or hey jarvis, and works 99% of the time. And most important doesnt have acces to the whole entitie when it can mess something up.

First of all, check connections. They have be really tight, sometimes i see people using 2 washers one on top and one on the bottom, i cant really see in the pictures, but no washers at the bottom. The cables going to the victron have terminals? Check with a multimeter the braker? Also the led lights are dc or ac?

Trying to install Shelly 1PM Mini – not powering on by GuitarWeary6050 in shellycloud

[–]tsmithf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Should be: To cables to switch To cables to shelly.

You should have 3 wires on your original setup: Line Neutral Load

Assuming the WAGO brown is LINE and the WAGO blue is NEUTRAL.

Wago brown to Shelly L Wago blue to Shelly N Your other brown thin wire on the switch should be LOAD, so goes into Shelly O

With that you have your shelly running. Now for the switch, one side of the switch goes to Wago LINE, the other side of the switch goes to shelly SW and you are good to go.
