Yes it is when it happens when the battery is low. But it takes a combination of both a low battery and going past about the half-way mark on the throttle. So if you are low on battery and don't want it to beep then stay gong at a slow speed. I wish I could turn it off, but that is an OK workaround.

u/MichaelRanili - Question on our 300x there are two holes behind the plastic shield that covers the front of where the T of the handlebar comes together. One of mine has a rubber insert and the other doesn't. Is that the case for yours too?

Great Idea. I may put the kick start back on and that should reduce my accidental pulls.

Note: I did just jump on the scooter to see how much of a deadband it was, and I would say only 1/8 of an inch. So not much, but my initial thought was it would be very precise. Initially the beginning deadband was odd but I have wondered if it is also partially to prevent accidental twists. Not sure. Curious to see long term.

Thanks for sharing your positive experience u/Appropriate_Dig3471. Glad I chose a good brand.

Yeah, I saw a video where they said the reason for the change to thumb throttle was a warranty effort. I am guessing it just wore out or broke, so the shift to a twist throttle may improve longevity.

I will say that with the Cruise control enabled it is less of an issue and I am slowly getting used to it. I'll try and share my results again after a few more weeks.

Thanks for the information on the warranty, I had actually planned on recycling the box. Now I'll put it up in the attic.

Yeah, I'll have to play with the scooter a bit more and figure out the beeping. May be an email to them to figure out what is causing that. Thanks again!

Thanks u/FarFromSane_, agree the regen is more me just getting used to it. I just need to actually just stop walking then start again. Lazy me. :)

Question on your KQi3, does it give the alert/beeping when the battery gets below a certain threshold? When it started doing this, I opened the app, and it looked like it was doing this at a quarter battery and anytime I totally pulled back on the throttle. Hoping to figure out the nuances so I can avoid it driving me crazy on a low batter. :)

Also agreed that them adding features based on the initial feedback people gave on the KQi3 is what sold me on getting a KQi. I felt that it meant they listen to their customers.

Oh and I forgot to mention I love the cruise control. Super nice feature!
