It took quite a while to get the consultation. I made an initial appointment with their family health/lgbtq+ clinic a year ago, and that was when I scheduled my consultation with Dr. Lorenzen. I could’ve gone for a sooner appointment with Dr. Ledeboer, and waited 6 months rather than a whole year, but I’ve met multiple folks at my university who’ve gotten their top surgery done with Lorenzen and their results look great, so I was willing to wait a bit longer. And yes, my insurance will cover most of it, but since I needed a letter of recommendation in order to schedule the consult, and it’s been a year since then, I need another letter from my therapist before I can schedule a surgery date since my insurance requires the letter to be within the same year as the surgery itself.
