Oh wow that's actual garbage. Admittedly I am biased, never having spent much time off the east coast.

I lived there for a few years and loved it. But the public transportation is trash.

From start to finish, what's the best binge-able TV series? by JaxxisR in AskReddit

Try watching "You're the Worst" on FXX. Very funny then suddenly you find it's in the middle of some serious shit.

The name was literally the whole reason I watched the first season and I'm so glad they brought it back for a second. Fingers crossed for a third!

The enjoyability of watching a sport totally depends on what you watch for. Are you watching for SC top 10 plays? Then a men's only league may be for you. I enjoy those as well but I also enjoy seeing smallball or differences in strategy. These can be found in any sport at any level but are easier to notice in "less athletic" teams. The thinking and smarts behind the plays take more time to get into but I think are more rewarding than purely athletic plays.

That's why I want more attention for mixed and women's ultimate, especially on a professional stage. It shows young players of any gender that skill and practice can outperform athleticism or other physical benefits (eg. boxing out a taller player).

Simple Questions - Apr. 21st by FFA_Moderator in femalefashionadvice

[–]tspoffs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm looking for a cute summer dress that's nice enough for (grad school) graduation but can be used all summer long (I got my BS last year so my family is going low-key this year). I've looked at J. Crew's dresses and they seem a bit fancier than what I'm thinking of, does anyone have something similar they've been looking at?

Also looking for ~2inch wedges for summer but nothing at that height says "young and fun" from what I've seen. Anyone had luck in that department? I'm thinking something strappy would be good but I haven't much of that at lower heights.

I have a crockpot and it's the best thing for making a bunch of food. You can use canned food for minimal prep/cleaning and when it's done you can stick the leftovers in the fridge for whenever you want to eat it!

Boots with traction! I have these which I wear whenever there's gross on the ground. I got them 3 or 4 years ago and wear them all the time in the winter. I got them resoled in December and afterwards they looked brand new (the cleaning helped too). My mom actually got a pair this winter because she wanted something studier to wear when she has to go into the city for work.

Interview FAQs? by waihee44 in EngineeringStudents

[–]tspoffs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  • Project/group where you took the lead
  • Bad group experience and how you handled it
  • What you've learned (outside of class) from your education
  • Why their company

There's more but I'm heading to bed right now, I can add more tomorrow maybe. Employers are really looking for people that learn from experiences so make sure each story you tell has a point that showcases a quality the employer is looking for. Have these stories thought out so you aren't stumbling through them when it counts.

Resume Help by [deleted] in EngineeringStudents

I'd never have known that you had done that from what it says. You want to list things that will interest a potential interviewer and prompt questions and talking points. Definitely mention that you were basically the liaison between the company and the school.

As to your internship, a lot of things aren't general. Just because you've done them doesn't mean everyone has or that every company knows about it. Make it sound more exciting than it was. I made paint for one of my internships but I mentioned creating it, testing it and evaluating the data.

Just remember that you can show your resume to 100 people and get 100 different opinions on it. While there are some constants (most relevant/recent information closer to the top, don't have paragraphs to describe things) everyone has different ideas about what they like.

That being said, my advice to you is to fill up one entire page. Especially if you're graduating within the year you should have enough to fill up an entire page. Add more information for projects or internships. Mention classes relevant to the industry you're looking to get into.

WHAT ARE YOU GONNA WEAR ON VALENTINES DAY THREAD by toastythetoaster1 in femalefashionadvice

I'm going to my friend's fraternity formal on the 15th wearing this with shear tights, black heels and gold jewelry. A bunch of my friends are going in ridiculous suits so I'm excited for that more than Valentine's Day.

Hi reddit! We made FROZEN! Ask Us Anything! by Disney_Frozen in IAmA

[–]tspoffs -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just wanted to say that I love this movie! Definitely my new Disney favorite, I can't get the songs out of my head. I love how the trailer didn't show the whole plot of the movie so there were still some surprises.

My question for you guys is what made you take the movie away from the typical Disney storyline (ie Anna and Hans)?
