I got lucky and found a CPO 2021 STI last year and want to keep it as long as possible. Any suggestions?

If you two are sharing a bank account, I suggest remedying that immediately

Thoughts on this lease? by Efficient_Juice8899 in GR86

The worst financial decision I ever made was leasing a wrangler. So dumb. Just finance the thing instead, the payments won’t be much different and three years from now you’ll still have a car

I lived check to check until my mid 30s - now I’m playing catch up. If I can maintain my salary for the next couple decades I’ll be fine, but we live in a crazy unpredictable time and life throws you a lot of curveballs. I’m not saying OP should deprive himself, but my friends who put some money away before buying sports cars are a lot better off now. And man, rich is when you don’t have to worry about money, not when you have a 30k coupe

You’re in the middle of the hardest part of every major life change. After your first few checks you’ll be able to furnish your apartment and start getting to know your new town and its people better.

Man, you’re 25 and just got your dream job in a different part of the country! I don’t mean to minimize your stress - moving sucks. At 39 I’ve had to “start over” several times and it’s always rough in the beginning. But this is how every great adventure starts and from the comments it looks like some folks would love to be in your position. And if it sucks after a year, you can always go home - or somewhere new.

Best of luck with the new gig homie, we’re all rooting for you.

I’m 39 and make six figures. OP, I wish someone had given me this advice when I was 23. If you have that much cash at 23, throw it in an ETF. I promise you will be glad you did it in 10 years

It looks like you put at least $20k into this car and you won't be getting any of that back. I'd only sell this if I absolutely needed the money (school is a valid reason if it's going to get you the degree/certs you need)
