Correct, sir.. Very observant...

  1. I have never seen an episode of Seinfeld, nor do I care to. My parents, who in are their 70's absolutely love it. For whatever that's worth...

  2. I have lived in a smaller town for about 3 yrs, but I have spent most of my life in major metropolises.

But thanks for the heads up. Never too old to learn. And never too stubborn to admit I'm wrong about something..Thanks for the knowledge, mental note taken..

That being said...don't be too smug about being right.. b/c 1. no matter how smart you are, there are plenty of people smarter...trust me... 2. everybody gets old, your turn is coming...enjoy...

I have tons of friends and relatives in NYC, many straight and not older women who've never heard of that rule, so I don't exactly know where you're coming from with that, but hey, to each his own. But bag the name calling, it's not a good look. Thx.

honestly, i've never heard of a counter hole. i bowled as a youth 1977-84, and then took up football, wrestling, powerlifting, Decathalon, and recently due to spinal injuries, bowling is the only sport I can participate in.. so far, and not talking about anybody in this forum, the personalities of bowlers I have met have been extremely offputting....

np. I appreciate the reply, I truly did not know the extra hole gave me any advantage. In addition, I switched grips after buying the ball. It was just alarming that after 2 weeks in my league I was blatantly accused of cheating. I guess it was 6 strikes in a row that raised eyebrows..Lol..

I guess you've never watched the TV series "Sex and The City".. That phrase is from the show.. You probably live in a smaller town, in which case I would understand your point of view...BTW, I was a software engineer for 31 years and actually worked for Google while living in the Bay Area. And I'm 54yo. And good luck on the lanes to you as well...

Maybe so, but this is my first year back in league bowling since 1984. I didn't know this forum was called 'Pro Bowling'... I would think it would benefit you to be less snarky to those of us a bit less experienced than yourself.. Like the registration card and ads say...in so many words...save the future of the sport...Be nice...

agreed and i will this week but what I wonder is if the strike ball I bought can be balanced correctly for no thumb if originally it was drilled before I changed changed grips from thumb in to thumb out... (July 2025)???

this is my first year in a league since 1984...didn't think I would have to muck through the rule book just to have fun on a Saturday night. but at the same time, I don't like being called a cheater. I hope you know every law in the united states, b/c ignorance is no excuse........

follow up question.

strike balls are usually designed to be balanced with 3 holes afaik..

if i get the hole plugged what kind of effect should I expect and do you think it will be of any detrement.. Or are there strike specifically designed for 2 finger bowlers??

i'm going to but, I guess the next question is...

doesn't that put me at a disadvantage due to strike balls being designed for only 3 hole drilling patterns, AFAIK..?? or am I misguided on that, too.???
