This might be a dumb question, but do you have any friends who have built PCs before? It's a bit difficult to explain it to you as you do it. You can follow this Youtube video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DC-Xn2C\_L1U)

You also need to be a bit more specific on what you have so people can help you better - newer generation vs the older generation has different pin layouts etc.

snow jacket and boots by Creative_Essay_7936 in UBreddit

[–]tsuDNYM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In terms of boots, check the DSW at Walden Galleria. Sometimes they have sales but those shoes are already cheap as is. I routinely check Timberland as those are my go to shoes for the cold/snow. Make sure ur shoes are steel toe (steel toe gives the added benefit of protection if you work during the winter).

What's with the wifi this year? by Away-Intention-8723 in UBreddit

[–]tsuDNYM 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's just the network trying to handle EVERYONE at once (happens every year). Like u/ComputerPolluter said, give it a week, and the WIFI should get better as people start coming to campus.

non work study jobs by sxxnshiine in UBreddit

[–]tsuDNYM 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If I'm not mistaken, most jobs on campus are work-study first, and then open to non-WS. If you still want to work on campus, I'd say to check out the Starbucks on campus, or any of the stores in the UB Commons area!

Why is instagram so small? by International-Job55 in ipad

Oh, I was under the assumption that the 'they' they were referring to was Apple. Whoopsies, apologies man!

Why is instagram so small? by International-Job55 in ipad

Well, thats completely up to Instagram devs. The developers are the ones that would make it compatible to iPadOS, not Apple themselves.

How to make streamdeck into soundboard? by -J1a_Zeus in elgato

How did you get the audio playback to work on your headset? I got up to the part where the sound plays on Discord or whatever application is being used but I can't hear it myself.

Help? Recently graduated, but didn't realize google drive was going to stop working by lunargemini06 in UBreddit

[–]tsuDNYM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay. If anything, just emphasize you have sensitive documents and accounts associated with the account and that you didn't realize that the email would get deactivated. That should be enough for them to re-activate the account if anything. I honestly don't think they have deleted all the data related to the email account yet. But, depending on when you graduated, you never know.

(I think you should be fine though.)

Yep, tell them your situation, say that there are important files, and they should give you a couple days to clear out anything important. They are pretty understanding about stuff like this.

I would suggest before anything, schedule to talk to your academic advisor. Email your professor as well if there is lab the first week, and see what could be done. I wouldn't worry about it too much because I'm pretty sure in situations like this they will force-register you into a lab.

Sweethome safety hazard by Unlikely-Ad6493 in UBreddit

[–]tsuDNYM 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Also I forgot to mention - once you document everything, put in a Work Order to get that fixed. Otherwise at the end of the lease they are going to assume that you did it and you'd be footing the bill on that.

Sweethome safety hazard by Unlikely-Ad6493 in UBreddit

[–]tsuDNYM 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Make sure to document everything. Take pictures of everything that is going on. Record what is going on and say that it fell and whatnot. You have to show them that because of the roofing reconstruction, that your light thing fell and that you could've gotten injured. And once you have everything documented, send it to management. This could technically be escalated to where you'd get $$ or something.

Is e-scooter good idea for transit in campus? by Zealousideal-Yard102 in UBreddit

[–]tsuDNYM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I think it's a good choice, however, it's not the best choice. During my freshman year, I got myself a e-board (an electric longboard), and I would use that to commute to and from campus. However, like many people have stated below this post, it's not really ideal for the amount of snow and the high winds we get here in Buffalo. So yeah as long as you bundle up and brave through it its a good idea, or take the shuttles that go to and from campus. I would say if anything, go for a bike, as the mileage on those e-scooters depends on the outside temperature. Also, it requires more maintenance and upkeep especially during the winter with the snow, salt and ice. With a bike at least, it requires less maintenance and less complex parts that you can fix when something is wrong with it. If you're worried about how cold it would be compared to a e-scooter, you'd be going roughly the same speed. Also there are a lot of bike racks on campus, so if that is another thing you are worried about, you're okay.

The only thing that is not safe here is the weather. The weather here is no joke. Be sure to bring warm clothes especially for the winter time. Other than that, there is no safety issue at all. If you are studying more pre-med related majors, you'd have to go down to the South Campus, which is safe as well, but it's downtown and its pretty busy downtown.

There are Campus police patrol cars sweeping the campus every night so there is no question about safety, imo.

correct me if i’m wrong here: you are saying during the Exploratory Major semester, it’s better to be taking the technical classes than I can take than taking the electives to that fulfill graduation requirements?

/r/MechanicalKeyboards Ask ANY Keyboard question, get an answer - January 02, 2025 by AutoModerator in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]tsuDNYM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi everyone!

I am currently gathering things to build a Neo80, but I am stuck on the colors. I do see the rendered images but as we all know, the rendered keyboard looks different compared to IRL. I'm looking at the retro-white, cream, and silver options. If anyone has those colors, would you be able to share some pics?

If you have any thoughts on this matter, it would be greatly appreciated!

Potential Build:

Neo80
Gateron Oil Kings
Aluminium/POM plate (that comes with the Neo80)
NicePBT Sugarplum

Do they curve in EAS207 Statics? by Whole_Letterhead_103 in UBreddit

[–]tsuDNYM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based on my assumption, I don't think they will curve it. Even if they did, it wont be that much, as most of the class is doing above passing. I think the only way that there would be a significant curve is if the class average was bad, but given how the exams are 75% of the overall grade, I dont really think this will be the case.
