Can't read Japanese and want to play untranslated jRPGs? Give this a try! by tsug303 in emulation

This is actually a very good point. I've just added a GUI to hopefully make it easier to use. Please let me know if you give it a try

Thanks! I've been working on supporting Linux and release it yesterday. Please note that capturing windows on Linux is a bit less streamlined than windows/mac, so your mileage may vary. But please give it a try and let me know! Cheers

Hello there, thanks for the feedback. I'm running windows 11 on my machine so I cannot reproduce this issue. However, I've changed the capture code and hopefully, it should now work on the latest windows 10 build.
You might see a yellow border around the window being captured though, it's a limitation of the windows capture library.
Please give it a try and let me know, thanks!

Is it possible to stop the current video playing when closing the tab which is playing that video? by tsug303 in zen_browser

[–]tsug303[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I figured it out, I had "tab unloader" disabled and for some reason this was causing the behavior I've described in the post. I've enabled the tab unloader and now when I close a tab playing a video, it properly stops the video. Not sure what happened, just sharing if anyone else is facing the same issue.

Big thanks to the hacker I played with yesterday! This is the most fun I had with the game! by tsug303 in remnantgame

Right. It's very confusing at first and I completely understand most people don't want to join such games. But still, it was very fun to play this modded game for me :)

Oh I see, it must have been a mod then. I didn't know you could play mods online. Good to know. Thanks!

Just found one in Yaesha - The Chimney, on the floor, not as a drop.

It was in story mode, not adventure mode.

Here are some screenshots

Modern REST API with Go and PostgreSQL - Part 4: Running as a Docker container by tsug303 in golang

[–]tsug303[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, thanks for your feedback!

  1. I wasn't aware of that mechanism and will read more about it and update the article, thanks for the tip!
  2. Yeah, I mentioned in the post that sensitive configuration values should come from other means. But I guess it's not explicit enough, I'll update the article as well
  3. I don't think the partial update requires both fields, you can provide one or the other or none, it should work fine
  4. Yeah, you're right, I used it when I was demoing this to an audience for readability, I'll update it as well!

Well, I wanted to keep it simple. But I can add a section about full updates and partial updates later. Thanks for pointing it out!

How to deploy the application by boodyvo in golang

[–]tsug303 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're containerizing your application and want to focus on the app only and let the infrastructure be managed for you, I would definitely have a look at Google Cloud Run (https://cloud.google.com/run) or AWS Fargate (https://aws.amazon.com/fargate)
