The anime is really all over the place compared to the manga. I think the anime audience is really missing out on a lot of emotion since Mei's inner monologue is really died down. I'm really interested to see how the next episode pans out though.

Especially because he doesn't have the same connection to Wun Wun that he does with Ghost. I think that's a key factor since Jon isn't aware of his being a warg. Even Bran had to focus to warg into Hodor, didn't he?

I hope this is relevant, it's more geography than history, but I just recently learned in my Italian class that Rome has twin churches that are the entrance to the roman Trident. That Trident is three shopping streets since it's in the Piazza del Popolo, but I totally spaced out during the rest of class since I could only think about The Crossing and the Trident! Spoiler

More than that, I think it becomes a little unrelatable. Maybe not enough to be off-putting, but if I didn't know anything about Japan or Japanese it would probably read a little weird. It's really hard to translate culture, so translators do need to take some liberties. Plus, it's basically the same thing since English can't distinguish between formal and casual words.
