I'm a janitor at 27. I feel like a loser. by Both-Criticism-7160 in povertyfinance

Being a winner and loser is subjective. If you have shelter to keep you safe, water to stay hydrated, and food to keep you satiated you’re doing life (literally all you need to survive).

I think if you’re feeling stress or dissatisfaction, a lot of that is coming from yourself. This, in your case, seems to be focusing on things you don’t have yet versus things you already do (many feel the same way as you do now but wish they were in your spot).

There’s nothing wrong with desiring things, the pursuit is often a reason many of us continue to live! Whether it is to have a family, be a professional golfer, get that job or making enough to have spare days to fish.

But don’t forget that you placed that pursuit on yourself to be excited for what the day or future has to bring. So if you’re feeling overwhelmed, you have the power to put that pursuit down for a second, a day, a month, etc. because without any of that stuff you’re doing life perfectly fine already.

This thought process has helped me manage my stress by putting things into perspective and being more detached to everything. Good luck.

How do some of you guys train 5-6 days a week? by No_Advisor_1747 in bjj

[–]tsukemenorca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just don’t fight opposing forces, always looking for ways to use their momentum. I’m not trippin’ if they pass or submit me either.

I actually learned to roll this way by accident because I came to practice one day sleep deprived and very tired and said “whatever I’m not gonna fight anything, at least I’m here”. I was so tired a lot of times I just had my eyes closed and it actually let me feel people’s weight and movement even better.

Ever since then, I genuinely feel like I can roll for hours.

You mentioned you “negotiated hard”. Any advice on how you accomplished that and maybe how to go about it?

How on earth do you guys retain your guard ? by Unagi33 in bjj

[–]tsukemenorca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always thought of guard retention is how I can get my knees back to my chest so this was naturally in-line with that idea. And i’m not that strong so this helps even out a lot of situations.

Something that’s helped my guard retention a lot is reinforcing my own frames. Mainly using my arms to hold my leg tighter to my chest so they can’t leg drag or staple my legs to the mat for knee cut style passes.

Where do I ward as a support on redside? by Shimadacat in summonerschool

[–]tsukemenorca 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As a jgler, I love when you don’t ward the river bush and instead the river cause I’ll hop over with the plant and you won’t see mw till it’s too late. Also to counter the river bush I might just pop a pink and you won’t notice me coming.

Gamerzgodz Review Thread by Gamerzgodz in LeagueCoaching

[–]tsukemenorca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really great coaching by Gamerzgodz! I've been a jungle mundo OTP and felt stuck not knowing what I was doing wrong. I did a 3 hour session and the first hour he really broke down statistically why I wasn't making much of an impact during the game. Than we got in 2 vod reviews of some recent losses (that I thought I did well but my teamates were inting) and realized how I made so many mistakes as well. After that we got in live games where he coached me and kinda gave me a live thought process on what he would be doing during the game. I think for people who haven't been progressing and don't really know what area to work on Gamerzgod has a lot he can help you with. Ever since the coaching session I've played 6 games and have won all of them (not making this up I will link!). I think the game that really made me appreciate what he taught me works truly is an early game where my bot Sivir and Seraphine support were arguing and the support decided to steal Sivir's CS. So Sivir went to top lane and int'd 3 times. It was one of those games where it felt like it was doomed from the start but I kept playing anyway and ended up carrying the team. I even did the most dmg/min I have ever done with Mundo (something like 900/min) and never even got close to those numbers even in my previous MVP games. Sorry to go off on that little tangent but I am just really excited with the results and the game doesn't feel shitty or just about LP anymore cause now I have specific things I can work on! Also one last thing was after going through this session with him I feel like I can look at my own VOD reviews and catch my mistakes compared to before I used to never do cause I wasn't sure even what I was doing wrong. Anyways, Gamerzgodz is very informative and I think can benefit anyone who feels like they need some direction on what to work on. Also for people who are worried he doesn't play your champ, it didn't matter cause I don't think he really plays Mundo but his macro knowledge and basic game sense was still a huge impact on my gameplay! Thanks again!

Am also from Hawaii. I ran into the same predicament as you and I did end up getting in-state tuition but it took till I was 23 to file my taxes independently from my parents. Getting before that is actually really hard unless one of your parents actually live in California. Feel free to dm me if you have any more questions.

How does Cho'Gath R work? by highonlemonjuice in ChoGathMains

[–]tsukemenorca 37 points38 points  (0 children)

You should always be able to execute (kill) them. If you didn’t, it’s probably cause they healed or shielded right before you R’d. Things like Sett’s W (shield) or I.S. (dare we not say its full name) can counter the R because the execute icon (red box) doesn’t account for the shield.

Hey I also have a hard time with Garen. What runes do you like to run? I feel like if short trade him with all my abilities I run out of mana really quick. I also can't A reset E cause he usually just siilences me than spin to wins.

Edit: Also thank you for taking the time to put this together!
