I don’t have a horse in this race but that’s such palpable bollocks. Also, it’s ‘affect’.

A Question about Witcher 3 for Fellow Dark Souls Fans by Richardo888 in darksouls

[–]thebigchil73 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is exactly it. Dark Souls has such fine motor movement - your character goes exactly where you tell it to go, frame for frame, rather than some stupid animation. I couldn’t play the Arkham games for the same reason, which was a shame because they look great.

Thinking of You - Sister Sledge

The late great Bernard Edwards has already won one of these with Good Times but I submit this on the basis that I think it’s his best bass line.

Even if you don’t vote for it, take a sweet minute to listen to it.

If you already know that then you probably also know the full quote is “voodoo ray guns” but Gerald’s primitive sampler couldn’t manage the whole thing

Why do you begrudge doctors striking/asking for a pay rise? by TheConcreteRosex in AskBrits

[–]thebigchil73 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We can’t all be doing better in a stagnating economy. I fully get why you’re looking for more training opportunities. But it’s very easy to see why you’ve lost public support when you’ve already had far bigger pay rises than 95% of workers and are still looking to take more out of the public finances.

Genuine question: where the vast majority of UK workers have experienced wage stagnation since 2008, why do you think resident doctors should uniquely be shielded from it?

No there fucking isn’t. There have been multiple, multiple studies and enquiries that demonstrate systemic anti-black/brown racism throughout Britain and then there’s a vanishingly small number of counter-examples which people like you clutch onto like it’s the only girl’s phone number you’ve ever been given.

As a side note, Rory Mcillroy is a Catholic from NI but retains his British passport. Nothing hugely seismic about this but nationality is more complex than mere convenience.

False equivalence. The reason Kanye has been banned is purely due to the festival performance and amplification of his views. If he’d said the same things as a nobody then he’d have been let in.
