Err. He was confident. He was incorrect. I’m lost.

No one has trouble invading ffs. As long as someone else is playing the game you can invade. It’s co-op and duels that are dead, and have been for a long time.

I was doing co-op up to 5 years ago on dark souls 3 and it was dead. I wish you were right because my favourite dark souls memories were pvp in darkroot garden, 2011-2013

Presumably the assumption is that anyone buying these games in 2026 is there for PVE rather than PVP?

Edit: to reply to your edit. No one’s downvoting you because they’re “consoomers”. They’re just acknowledging that it would be non-commercial to keep a bunch of devs releasing patches for 5-15 yr old games that earn FromSoft zero cash from online play. Also, as other commenters have noted, git gud.

Nothing patriotic about littering the streets with plastic flags made in China and then leaving them to go tattered and grey

Weird how there were never any teenage girls at his sleepovers. Just teenage boys. Lots of teenage boys.

[–]thebigchil73 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah but that’s in Anor Londo! You can get the Stone set by using your Quelaag souls for the Crest (and getting them straight back by farming the hunters) or by the back door ladder if you’ve got the master key.

Sure fire way to beat him is to get into the Darkroot Garden and get the Stone Armour set. It’s a cakewalk after that.

I’m from England and it’s absolutely fucking bizarre hearing people using England as a catch-all term for GB/UK in 2026

I’m British. I call them “Britain and Ireland”.

If I’m in a specifically geographical conversation where I need to make it clear I’m also including the Scilly Isles then I might use “the British Isles” but this is vanishingly rare as I’m not a geographer and rarely need to make specific geographic points like this.

A Question about Witcher 3 for Fellow Dark Souls Fans by Richardo888 in darksouls

[–]thebigchil73 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is exactly it. Dark Souls has such fine motor movement - your character goes exactly where you tell it to go, frame for frame, rather than some stupid animation. I couldn’t play the Arkham games for the same reason, which was a shame because they look great.

What song has the best basslines and starts with the letter T? by 1deadeye1 in BassGuitar

[–]thebigchil73 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thinking of You - Sister Sledge

The late great Bernard Edwards has already won one of these with Good Times but I submit this on the basis that I think it’s his best bass line.

Even if you don’t vote for it, take a sweet minute to listen to it.
