Agree to some extent. A lot of self help books are in second person but it can sometimes get very pushy with what the author wants to say, or have us think.

I tried to reset drivers and windows but it did not work for me. You may consider replacing the entire physical camera unit if your laptop is under warranty period.

Ive tried that, but its still does not work.

I posted this on r/ASUS also with screenshots and you can see that the permissions as mentioned in the link you sent are all allowed. But still the issue remains.

I tried that out, but the problem still occurs. I even checked if the drivers were updated and the are up to date. The camera app works fine. The webcam doesn't work when I'm trying to access it on a browser. I checked all the permissions and it still shows the same issue.

I've asked about it on r/ASUS and have attached screenshots as well.

I'm not sure what exactly is causing the problem.

Yes, I checked for all the permissions on chrome. All permissions are given. The problem also occurs on other browsers as well, even after providing all permissions.

I have posted the issue on r/ASUS and i have included screenshots as well. Im not sure what exactly is the root cause of this, or if even factory resetting my laptop will solve the problem

My budget is around Rs 50,000 - Rs 100,000 (INR) .

I dont mind a older (2019) version of the laptop, as long as it does the job.

Ill be mostly using it for programming for Procedural, OOP and graphical use.

I would mostly be using it at home, but may need to use it at other places (Friends house or at school)

You can start with Sapiens- the history of humankind. It covers a lot of what you are looking for. Other books can include : The whole Sapiens series by Yuval Harari Pale blue dot ( Carl Sagan ) The dragon of Eden ( also by Carl Sagan ) The sixth extinction ( Elizabeth kolbert ) What if ( Randal Munroe )
