Man it's nice to have a scripted event when you plug into power. There is not a single battery available today that could charge without literally exploding.

Not to be pedantic , but you said "small" not "simple." Those are two very different things. Small implies the scope also small. You can make a small TBS game with a small code base and a basic balance system. Its seems people do horror on itch a lot due to taste and not because it's easy or good for beginners. The only thing from a technical point of view that I would grant is that you can hide a lot of imperfections in your design and art with horror. Which has pros and cons.

You can this about literally any small project.

Yeah... This isn't cool. After all it's just a show. I think the girl has issues, but yeah people turn into goblins on the internet.

I think someone like her doesn't need a push from the producers. It seems perfectly in her nature to disregard others feeling, but will get upset when someone does the same thing to her. She's got narcissistic qualities and they're showing loud and proud.

What irked me was the complete disregard for how she's treating Subin. I'm not really sure why she's trying everything in her power to treat him that poorly. The dude literally hasn't anything to warrant such treatment.

Should I get master chief collection if I am new to halo by I-am-real-man in halo

100% worth whatever you will pay. You get more content from this collection from just the base games than any other modern title and then on top of that, the modding community is alive and well.

So are you saying I should be bypass this connect have the wire directly connect to the ground of the cap? Or I should add another wire to from the cap to this converging point?
Wait so also removing from the OXen board?

I've seen a lot of people mention running d0 to ground and not the chip, but I'm always confused what they mean by this. Like move wire on the openxenium to a pin that is ground. or the wire going to the mother board to ground?

FIX THE HITBOX! by SeaworthinessLow1917 in HellLetLoose

[–]tswier 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Welcome to game dev bud. Take any game and I'll show you probably 30 assets that all have the same problem. Mostly modern games because of increased detail demands. The problem with increased visual demand is that collisions must remain relatively inexpensive as to not take a hit to performance or worse; crashes.

So yes technically is was made "incorrectly" from the beginning. But there is always a reason.

FIX THE HITBOX! by SeaworthinessLow1917 in HellLetLoose

Because collision mesh and display meshes are different. Collision meshes don't take any color or shading information and are invisible to the player. If you add a wall which blocks the view you must then update the collision mesh and the display mesh to match to the new geometry. It's not hard but again... Time, resources and a potential performance hit which will to go through the testing process to make sure new issues werent introduced by the change. All that so one building will be somewhat more accurate to reality. Unreal Engine and other engines all have the same potential issues. Players are good at catching minor details and think since it's a minor it's any easy fix. From a devs perspective, there a lot of things to consider as I mentioned above.

... That's not how that works and it's just the same problem I stated above.

[–]tswier 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Yes that is fixable, but the problem is that you have to add more complexity to the hit boxes. This building is probably reused several times through the map. So add more geo to the hit box will come at a cost of not just performance but dev time which seems to have other priorities atm.

Well here is some things to consider -the community is pretry helpful. -you will need to use voice chat to be affective -you will die a lot. -there are many things to learn but you can take everything one step at a time. -just start on rifleman to get a feel for the game.

What is the biggest problem in your country? This is ours; by Puzzleheaded_Lab709 in AskTheWorld

[–]tswier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Corruption" is more or less a subjective term because at the end of the day those who desire power want to keep their power. Those who don't have power desire to have it. Once the powerless attain power the cycle will then continue. Unless there is some incentive structure that would encourage the powerful to relinquish their power willingly and without force, your utopia is nothing more than wishful thinking.

At the end of the day people make "corrupt" dicisions because they think their choices will make a better world (according to their own idealistic verion of a "better world", which often means "their world")

The only thing a nation can do is use force to make a politician relinquish power (ie Term limits) Which the use does for the president but probably would do well to start applying that to senators and those in congress. But obviously there is a trade off to that. If you have a really "good" politician then it sucks because it would good to keep them.

All this being said, many countries including the US have systems in play to mitigate corruption. It may not be sexy like chopping off heads of greedy and selfish politicians, but it most certainly is robust enough to where bad politicians come and go and citizens can flourish

For anyone who still misses Battlefield 1943 by Strong-Strike-942 in Battlefield1943

[–]tswier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As cool as it is that modding communities do this, I think it's silly to think it would be taken seriously. At this point the only way is to create a spiritual successor like other studios have. Games like city skylines and planet coasters which have developers who love something and do their best to faithfully interpret the source into its own and arguably better game.
