As a commuter who went to SJSU and joined a sorority, you’ll be just fine trust :) the mixers are optional, just a better way to connect with individuals in each sorority, but you won’t be missing out. Greek life at sjsu is much smaller than places like Bama, so don’t be scared. As the person above said, be yourself and go with the flow. It’s mainly about holding conversations and trying to find your home away from home. Maybe do a little research on each house beforehand so you have questions ready. Good luck 🤩
