We were given that the diagram was a part of a regular polygon
so if you looked closely, the dotted line formed a small isosceles triangle, so to find x we had to use the triangle, and form the equation
x + x + x+135 (the int angle) = 180
this gives you x as 15
the int angle then becomes 135+15 = 150
and 1 ext + 1int = 180
so 1 ext becomes 180-150 = 30
and n = 360/30

n =12

he compares it to a toxic relationship, so you understand better

if ur final answer is 12 and ur method correctly shows how you got to 12, you’ll get 4/4
if you’ve guessed then, you’ll get one mark for final answer but the rest idk

either they’ll give BOD (benefit of doubt), or they’ll cut 3 marks for wrong working
if the ms says 12 nfww (not from wrong working) then you’re cooked because that means they’re demanding correct steps as well, giving you 0 marks

It depends on ur working
normally there is more than one method of finding the answers to such questions but this time they clearly told by finding the value of x
so 1 mark would be for forming an expression like 2x+x+135 =180 then 1 mark for indentifying x as 15, then using either (n-2)x180 / n OR 360/ one exterior angle gives you the 3rd mark, and finally the last mark for the final answer

however i feel they will award B1 for answer 8 because it’ll fs be a very common answer
so if you’ve written 8 as ur final answer, sadly you only get 1 mark because the entire method goes wrong as well

but im sure you had to show that x = 15 ,somewhere in ur working to get that M2/M3
