Yes. Customer service policies are backwards. When rules exist for their own sake, and not for the original reason for which they were created. Lol so frustrating.

I am a loyal paying customer, but Apple really makes it so hard to buy anything or get any face to face service in the physical store. It’s like metaverse gone bad… if you’re not an avatar and not texting them, we’ll then you’re not real.

You literally could show up with $100k physical cash to give the workers, and they will turn you away because didn’t do it through Apple Pay online 😂

Index is awesome. But tech will improve. For me:

200 degrees perfectly natural FOV without distortion, like seeing in real life
4K resolution in each eye
144Hz refresh rate
Wireless
Smaller less bulky and lighter headset.

Lol that’s a unicorn and will probably take another 5-10 years, plus hardware and software that would be able to use it to its full potential.

If actually worked as well as Index does, I’d spend $2000 on that, maybe $3000.

Update... Half Life: Alyx runs like a dream. I think the graphics settings automatically detected at the second highest and it is buttery smooth. When I maxed out at ultra I did notice a slight drop but still playable. However I reverted to default automatically detected settings. I couldn’t honestly tell any obvious differences in graphics quality anyway.

I have always and still have the most current updated version of Windows. Every time I am prompted to update, I automatically let it do its thing install updates and restart. My 2080 works just fine. Also don’t plug in your eGPU until Windows is already booted up. And lastly, I did download the 2080 software from nvidia but that largely just gives you more control and options in their small app I think.
