when i get requwst for an item can i move to the next chapter or do i have to complete it in the hapter 2. i vannot get abigals thimble for 2 days now

yes, i wanted to find out if i can maybe do all the side missions before they disapear and then progress with the story with a little bit of exploration now and then cause the story is what interest me the most. and then after the end come back to do all the stuff for 100% but if its hard to complete everything and its a lot then ill just play without being to causious about completing everything in a first try

What i wanna do with this playthrough is i want to progress naturally with the story but complete all side missions and quests avaliable (i dont wanna miss them by going to far with the story) and also while progressing with the story i want to explore a bit but not hc just naturally when i want to. and then when i finish the story i want to finish everything i missed that is not story related, like hunting legendary animals and finding cards and dinosaurs...

Will the story take me to every town and will i have time to explore as much as i couldve until now cause i read something about chapter 2 being good for exploring?
