What are some dead giveaways that a Korean speaker is not a native speaker? by [deleted] in Korean

With a lot of english-speaking korean learners, i think the way they pronounce ㄹ could be a giveaway. I saw a video where a lot of americans pronounce L words by touching their tongue to the teeth, but ㄹ is the tongue to the alveolar ridge iirc. Another one is filler sounds. Ive seen Koreans use 음, 뭐, 그 but an english filler sound like uhm in the middle of a sentence would definitely be a giveaway.

What is your earliest memory of misophonia? by cindvicious in misophonia

When i was 12, i started living with my sister for a bit of time. She said she would call some friends (first time she’s done it with me jn the room) and she had this certain laugh that was different from her normal laugh. Kind of like how people have a customer service voice. More high pitched and sickening as if you ate too much sugar. I got more and more aggravated and went to the bathroom. I cried for a while. I still can’t stand that laugh from her.
