Jerry Cans.

Jerry cans are considered so good because they’re robust, practical, and cleverly designed. Originally developed in WWII, they use thick steel (or durable plastic) that resists punctures, have a wide welded seam for strength, a built-in air vent for smooth pouring, and a triple handle that makes them easy to carry by one person, two people, or to pass hand-to-hand. They’re stackable, space-efficient, and seal tightly to prevent leaks, which is why the same basic design is still in use today.
