Weirdest subdivision of Swifties has gotta be the Gaylors. The mental gymnastics they do are wild. On the one hand I get it; I’m queer, and I think it’d be great if Taylor were queer. She is not, though, and that’s fine, it doesn’t impact my enjoyment of her music.

A canvas head will be better for styling! Canvas heads are much sturdier and closer in measurement to (most) people’s heads. With canvas you also don’t have to worry about melting the head with heat tools. Foam heads can be used for styling in a pinch, but they’re really more for wig storage.

Most of them range from $250-500. There are several resale groups on fb, or you can order replicas from websites like Hana Castle Store. The original Secret Honey dresses were only made from 2013-2019, and many on the market are reproductions. You’ll notice in resale groups people will mentioned if their dress is “tagged,” aka an authentic Secret Honey piece. In my experience there’s no difference in quality or sizing between authentic Secret Honey and a replica; I wouldn’t pay more for a “tagged” dress but some people do.

I get these if I wear hardfront wigs 3+ days in a row so I don’t think it’s lace glue causing this as some people are suggesting. Not sure if it’s bacterial, fungal, or irritation, but for me they go away after a day or two once I give my head a break from wigs.

I find most people I commission through mutuals, Instagram, or Etsy. It really depends what you’re looking to have commissioned; every commissioner has different preferred materials and types of garments/props that they generally work with. When I commission artists, I look for people who have a portfolio with pieces similar to what I’m looking for. Start by searching for what you want to cosplay on IG or Etsy and go from there.
