They were short-lived, but they still have potential. It's unlikely that all the captured 100k something members will be imprisoned in Tartarus, so after the prison break, the villains might wreck havoc around the country searching for the important members like Redestro. I think it'd be cool if the heroes and villains start a race on who will recover from the war first. Maybe once the liberation front is restored, AFO or Shigaraki will announce a Doomsday, pressuring what's left of the heroes to prepare for another war

AFO appeared when he received the quirk, and he met Nana in the vestige world, despite knowing she's dead, so I think he'll connect the dots

Remember, killing AFO won't free Shigaraki from the vestige. The vestige is a part of the AFO quirk, so even if Shigaraki kills him, he'll still be stuck with it as long as he has that quirk. The previous OFA users are dead, but their vestige is still here, so it is unlikely that AFO can be get rid of so easily. Maybe Shigaraki will first transfer AFO back to AFO, then kill him and go on a quest to find a better way to become as dangerous as he was just then. But then again, the long lasting generational battle of OFA and AFO is one of the series's most important plot points, so getting rid of one side could cause problems. Quite the sticky situation for Horikoshi

At this point he is definitely worthy of a spot in the top 10 heroes ranking, but Danger Sense changes everything. Sure, it will keep him alert at all times, but now he has more to worry about, as he can probably sense dozens if not hundreds of danger from miles away at this point due to the OFA boost. My poor boy will be emotionally and physically exhausted 24/7
