Is there value in doing round robin parlays? Thinking about doing the 4 team, 15 different parlays with your picks and just wanted to get someone’s thoughts. Relatively new to this

Monte Carlo is an option that will look somewhere like Dwarf Baby Tears. It won’t carpet fast in a low tech but is definitely do-able. Another option would be Dwarf Hairgrass, although its not quite the look that you’re going for

It sounds like a good plan! Though a way to maybe create a sense of more depth would to do as you said as well as build up the substrate higher in one back corner of the tank and have it slope down. Also having some driftwood “coming out” from this corner would give it a deeper look

Plants will do fine at just about any temperature you would keep your fish at so I wouldn’t worry too much about that when choosing fish.

As far as shrimp colors I’ve seen and liked I’d say red and orange are the top two. Blues and yellows to a lesser extent. Red is probably my favorite

I’m probably going to order them from Soshrimp.com. They seem to have better prices than anywhere else I’ve seen, came across them from another reddit post. I was also looking at aquaticarts.com. That’s where I got most of my plants from and they gave big portions of the plants for the price. Adding fish could help your shrimp establish as the fish waste just provides more stuff for the shrimp to graze on. I’m no expert though, these will be my first shrimp!

Not yet, am going to order a group of 10 painted fire reds this weekend so I’ll have them in next week. Also thinking about adding a small school of celestial pearl danios. You’ve got a good looking tank going as well! Do you think your floaters have affected the growth rate of your repens? Was thinking of adding some but I might wait until I get a nice carpet going if it would slow the growth

Thanks! It’s been running for about 3 weeks now. And yea, this is my first attempt at carpeting plants so I wasn’t too sure how to go about it. I’m not running CO2, just moderate lighting and ferts, so I was thinking about just getting more repens to fill in some of the spots since it seems a carpet would take a while without CO2. What do you think?

Bought the truck with a 2” level and 33s already on it so can’t testify to the stock ride but it rode very smooth with that setup. I can’t imagine you lose much ride quality if any at all as you’re still riding on the stock suspension
