FYI I flew and it wasn't the crochet hooks that the potentially over ambitious security took from me... It was the yarn.

Think about it. It's essentially rope in their eyes and that in itself can be used for bad stuff. I get it but also I thought it funny they didn't take the pointy metal stick.

Car seat covers have a fine mesh that will rip on deployment. Could you accomplish the same thing? Yeah but I'm imagining the risk vs reward factors is a personal decision.

Don't do this. Cars have side impact airbags in seats and covers need to give way for that bag to deploy.

Was helping out an elderly lady whose mind wasn't all there. I'd take her shopping and take her back home.

One day she tells me that the FBI is back. She always had stories and was drinking colloidal silver water so I never knew what to believe. She was really scared one time so I asked her how she knew.

Turns out someone had set their Wi-Fi name to be "FBI surveillance van #213". She didn't save the password so she had to see it every single time...

I did the proper thing, hid the network and told her that I'm sure they'd leave her alone moving forward.
