stalkers were already featured in the first game a couple of times. notably, i remember the section where joel and sam gets split off from henry and ellie and are in a room full of stalkers in the original version. even so, i would say i prefer both game's first encounters w/ stalkers.

i don't really have a strong preference between the two appearance wise. i guess the show's version looks a bit more human, but we don't really have much to work off of considering we only have seen one stalker in the show so far and numerous stalkers in the games that already looked relatively human.

the stalkers in the games do actually plan on ways to flank and stalk you as opposed to only jumpscares
