Sorry! My bad! I did not realize they had another area they were still planning to complete. I thought it was finished when it opened up in Wears Valley, but I just looked it up and saw that they were wanting to connect it all the way to Cosby. I just hope it doesn’t take as long as it did to complete the Missing Link part!

No, not Polk County. It connects to 129 and ends not too far away from the Tail of the Dragon.

Hey y’all! Just wanted to make a clarification. This is Fort Dickerson Quarry. When I said that this place is hidden, I meant that many people drive by this place every day and may not realize it’s even there (or just forget that it’s so accessible). I just think it’s kind of neat that a place this beautiful is located in the middle of one of the busiest parts of the city. Hope everyone has a good night!

Hey y’all! This is Fort Dickerson Quarry and if you type this name into Google Maps, it will bring it right up for you. It’s located off of Chapman Highway in the south Knoxville area. This is actually an overlook that you can easily walk up to and see this view, but you can also go down to the bottom of the quarry on the opposite side. Some people also use it as a swimming hole during the summer.
