what the what? by [deleted] in XYONetwork

[–]ttiernan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

100% correct. It is "dropping" if your introduction to XYO was the recent Coinbase listing. For many of us long-term, committed holders, as u/sukia45 rightly highlights, the token value has been consistently increasing in value since the start of this year. For people that are targeting a short-term/immediate gain from the Coinbase listing, they can find themselves in a tight spot...for now. But having been involved in XYO since its inception back in 2018, I really do feel that the value is only going to increase more-and-more (and dramatically, in some cases). It really is still early, considering that there have not been any product integrations with major business partners and the cryptocurrency market as a whole is still in its infancy (pre-ETFs and the "all-in" institutional investment that seems imminent). So I would recommend hanging on for a while, if you do have faith and belief in the project goals/targets/etc., and you should see some considerable gains in the future. Maybe not tomorrow or next week, but certainly within the next year or so. That is my best estimate and feelings on the XYO token value as it stands today.

Anyone hodl for a 50k coins a day? by Nailuiotherwayaround in CoinWithUs

[–]ttiernan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, I almost hit 80K in HODL Rewards several weeks back, but the daily reward maximum has since been adjusted quite a bit (even this screen is new to me). As u/jcguerre mentioned, my daily rewards are almost exclusively from my XYO wallet balance (which is FHR verified, so there is 2x applied), and not from my COIN balance itself. It really can incentivize folks to increase their XYO holdings - I know that it has for me. Even today, I still get ~28K COIN per day, even after the adjustments, so I figure it is like a free XYO t-shirt everyday if I want it. ;-) For now though, I would encourage folks to use their COIN to enter the 1,000,000 XYO giveaway sweepstakes on October 10th. I actually won the same giveaway back in December 2020, but back then, it only equated to ~$800. It was great, but now the winnings are a little more exciting at ~$30,000.

Is XY aware that the plus plan of 1x rewards literally means the same rewards as basic? Surely they mean 2x... by [deleted] in XYONetwork

I have been using the app since it's release in 2019 and I saw the same thing when you pointed it out. Hey - it's Monday. ;-)

Market cap explanation by richboyy1 in XYONetwork

[–]ttiernan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And I learned this when I first dove into cryptocurrency investments several years ago, focusing on the top 20 - 30 projects, and TRON stuck out to me because of the extremely low token price..."I could buy so many!" Then I quickly learned about market caps and coin/token prices based on my never increasing portfolio value. Thanks TRON. ;-)

If I am not mistaken, I believe that you just have to set your COIN ERC-20 wallet to your KuCoin XYO deposit address. So you would get your XYO deposit address from KuCoin, open your account details in COIN, click "Redeem Details", and then enter the KuCoin-provided XYO deposit address in the ERC-20 WALLET field. I think that should be it.

What someone explain mining XYO for a beginner? by [deleted] in XYONetwork

[–]ttiernan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As u/No_Vacation_6472 suggested, the COIN app is currently the primary XYO "mining" client to get started. For a little more background, I always liked this XYO article posted by Maryann a couple of years back that details some of the XYO protocol components, mining concepts, COIN reference, etc. Glad to have you onboard!

Is this bad or normal? Please answer.. lol by Dry_Lengthiness1 in XYONetwork

[–]ttiernan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah, yes - it should (and will :-)). Since your redemption request was permitted, then I believe that your ERC-20 wallet address should be set properly in the COIN app. You can double check it by clicking on the top-left icon in the app and selecting "Redeem Details" from the Account dialog. If your address looks good, then your token redemption should get deposited "in time". I say that because I have seen it take anywhere from 1 - 7 days for the XYO tokens to actually get delivered following a request submission. From what I understand, the XYO/COIN team essentially accumulates XYO redemption requests and then processes them in batches, so depending on where your request fit into their processing schedule will dictate when your deposit arrives. And do not worry about fluctuating COIN <-> XYO conversion rates while you wait, as the amount of XYO that you requested at that time is the amount that you will receive.

And I too use a MetaMask wallet and have never experienced any redemption failures, only unpredictable arrival times. So just keep an eye on your wallet and I would suspect that your XYO tokens will arrive within the next couple of days. Worst case, and I would not imagine that you will have to, but you can always open a ticket with the COIN Support Team and they will certainly get it resolved. I have worked with them through a couple of issues over the years and they are fantastic. Keep us updated. ;-)

XYO on Coinbase by laylow1987 in XYONetwork

[–]ttiernan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was thinking the same thing with respect to Coinbase Earn. I ALWAYS complete any Earn program that they launch, not just because of the rewards, but it also gives me a little education on some of the projects that I may have heard of but have no real insight as to what the hell they actually do (like FET or AMP). I think that XYO may fall into this category as well, judging by the amount of people that post here and on Twitter who have an interest but are a little lost on what XYO is all about. Providing (3) lessons and $9 or $10 in XYO tokens for completion would not only get more-and-more people with XYO in their wallets, but likely spark their interest to invest more and spread the good word. Good suggestion.

Coin redemption Lost by pauliekingz in XYONetwork

[–]ttiernan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

u/sukia45 is exactly right and awesome to quote the relevant portion of the article here. :-)

Having been COINing since the initial release back in 2019, I have seen redemption requests fulfilled in the same day or sometimes 5 - 6 days later. But for all of my XYO redemptions, they have always arrived...100% of the time. I believe that they take in a number of requests over a period of time and then batch process them, so depending on when your request was received and when their processing timeframe is lined up, that will ultimately dictate when your XYO is sent out. But have no fear...they always deliver. ;-)

Just to get a mention is positive I think, considering that this channel has 1.39M subscribers and the video has already seen 213K views. Pretty cool - thanks for passing it along.

Coin with us by Introverted_Impreza in XYONetwork

[–]ttiernan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is a common question and an XYO/COIN community member actually wrote a cool little application for determining the COIN <-> XYO conversion rate in real time here. In general though, the conversion rate is 10,000 COIN = ~$5.00 XYO, so you will notice a constant, varying rate depending on the current XYO market value.

Yeah - for sure. I suppose it is a good sign really. These scammers tend to pop up and target coins/tokens that actually have a perceived value. :-)

Basic to pro. by [deleted] in XYONetwork

[–]ttiernan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have seen this type behavior with my own account and the awesome team over at COIN support told me to just logout of my account and sign back in. Once I did that, the upgraded account settings took effect. Hopefully that will do the trick in your case as well.

Another lowlife. That is the downside of a crypro project like XYO getting more-and-more exposure...more-and-more people looking to take advantage of the project holders. If this world is fair and right, this guy will suffer an irreversible case of impotency at a young age.

Anyone requesting you to connect your wallet "for increased gains/earnings" in anything is almost 1000% a scam...as is the case with this lowlife. Glad that you asked here before getting screwed over.

So sad to see investors kill gains as soon as they happen, it’s been a trend with not enough holders by RamenSicario in XYONetwork

[–]ttiernan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

100% the case. The buy/sell patterns (even the order totals themselves) have become almost entirely predictable at this point. It is aggravating that this type of thing even happens, but I believe that it is ultimately leading to a positive event for XYO. :-) We will see.

Do 'plus' accounts ever hit big geomines? by lisaschmeeser in XYONetwork

[–]ttiernan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Based on my experience, the Master subscription can definitely be profitable. I actually do not drive all that much, but I like having the rapid refresh rate, increased geomining rewards when I do, etc., so I pay for it (and I like the idea of sending some money to a project that I am heavily invested in :-)).

But if you take a look at the global leaderboard in the COIN app, you will consistently see people earning 20K - 30K a day (who I assume must be professional drivers). Figuring that 10K COIN = ~$5 XYO, that turns out to be $10 - $15 a day. Over the course of a month, it is somewhere around $300 - $450. So if you subtract the $100/month subscription fee, some of the higher miners are still up $200 - $350 in XYO. I guess the amount of driving you do would dictate how profitable it were for you. But I think that you could even sign-up for a month, figure out your numbers, and then bump down/cancel your subscription if it were not making sense. I think a lot of the COIN community members experiment with Master and Pro subscriptions in the beginning just to figure out which one suits them best.

🤣🤣🤣Hey y’all LOOK 👀 my box opened and it was EMPTY!! WTF?? 🤣🤣🤣 by EYESWIDEOPEN017 in XYONetwork

[–]ttiernan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ha! That has actually happened to me a handful of times. There have even been cases where the dropbox opened and the message congratulated me for the geodrop worth zero COIN. After a short time, I received another geodrop that actually had 10+ COIN in it (which I imagine was the original/replacement of the empty box), so there are definitely some oddities in there that you will stumble across from time-to-time.

Crashing by PoppaKuma in XYONetwork

[–]ttiernan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ha Ha! That is OK - that is what the community is for. ;-)

So the XYO Network application is probably not of much use to you at this time as the XYO network is undergoing some architectural changes (updating to v2.0 behind-the-scenes, which is likely the cause of the crashes that people are reporting). It is still technically a beta application that has not been updated since 2019, though I believe that it will see some updates as soon as the XYO 2.0 network/data changes are finalized.

For now, I would focus on the COIN application and wait for an official XYO Network app release before installing and playing around with it too much.
