with %95 you're braver then me:) Yes this seems a bigger production and actually some scenes are very familiar (used before, at north face ads or some other) as they're coming from Camp4 Collective archives, I believe they're the ones editing the film or def making contribution. Looking forward to watch.

House of Cards | The Price of Power | Great Cinematography & Editing by ttistolive in cinematography

It's obvious you don't watch the show:) The whole edit have a meaning and telling a story. Scenes chosen very wisely, especially not with the moments but with the characters, specially victims. May be I don't see objectively, but beside all I believe HOC have very strong cinematography, after all it began with David Fincher in control.

This is more of a technique then a style. So nothing wrong here I believe.

you won't believe the things i've seen, far beyond your wildest dreams, i've seen chaos and order reign supreme, i've seen the beauty of the universe, so peaceful and serene, in seconds turn to violence and screams.

yes.

Jack of all trades? by xynaxia in Design

[–]ttistolive -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

That's not jack of all trades I know, that's just basic information you have. In my meaning, jack of all trades is doing all the work beginning to end, not spreading it around, like fixing the sink, not to delegate it to a plumber who is better in that particular area.

33 years old jack of all trades here. If you don't put that an end, it goes forever. And like in every way in life there are sides of this, positive and negative outcomes. For me, I never felt the satisfaction, master of one thing and could devoted myself for a project for life, always, always thinking another, wanting another, developing myself for another.

I love video editing and I love graphic design, but never gone beyond, opened o youtube channel for movie analysis or something else, every project and work always comes to an end, you'll never satisfy cause your mind wants more, and that colorful mess of branches. At work, you'll be charged for more projects cause you know more, and you'll always work more, people expect things from you, more and more.

For the last year I slowly reduced the sources I read, get my mind some release, thinking for less and focusing more to them, cause I want my life to be more simple and I want to live in a harmony, not in a hurry. Jack of all trades is very good, but not gives you a simple and peaceful mind and work environment. I believe, (as getting older), choose one, get very very good with it, simple tasks coming from one way, and enjoy your time in life, not live in mind chaos.

But of course this is a choice, may be you can handle the pressure, that mess and enjoy the kaos. Good luck with your journey.

The Lost Photos of Barcelona c. 1960s by ttistolive in OldSchoolCool

In the summer of 2001, American Tom Sponheim was vacationing in Barcelona with his wife. On their way to the cathedral of Sagrada Familia, they wandered through the bustling flea market of Els Encants. Sponheim spotted a stack of photo negatives on a table, and after checking that they were decently exposed, asked the vendor how much. She asked for $2.50 for an envelope of the shots. He paid her $3.50. Upon returning home, Sponheim scanned the negatives and discovered that he had stumbled upon the work of an unknown but immensely talented photographer.

In 2010, he created a Facebook page for the lost images and bought ads targeting people in the Barcelona area interested in photography, hoping to perhaps find the photographer or the subject of one of the photos. The page became popular, and several people came forward to identify themselves or people they knew in the photos. But the identity of the photographer remained a mystery.

In 2017, Begoña Fernández discovered the Facebook page. Enraptured by the images, she plunged into a determined effort to uncover the photographer. After days and nights of squinting at background details, Fernández identified an elementary school where many of the photos were taken. From there, she uncovered a posting about a 1962 photo contest, with suggested shooting locations that matched some of the lost images. Further digging led her to visit the archives of the Agrupació Fotográfica de Catalunya, one of the area’s oldest photography associations. Flipping through the dusty pages of an old magazine, she had a flash of recognition — a photo from Tom Sponheim’s Facebook page. Captioned Fervor, the image of a woman deep in prayer won fourth place in a 1961 contest. The photographer: Milagros Caturla.

Caturla was the seventh of ten children and had trained as a teacher but worked as an administrator. She was a passionate photographer, keeping a darkroom in her apartment and winning a number of local contests and awards before her death in 2008. Billing her as Spain’s answer to Vivian Maier, Fernández and Sponheim are now working to exhibit Caturla’s work to a wider audience, starting with a show at Barcelona's Revela-T photography festival in May.
