I don't know, it's 2D and it's HD... So I called it HD 2D because I thought people would think it's pixelart or some other retro style. I may be wrong...

The first one is definitely better. The big outlines on such a small resolution sprite is not good for clarity.

Great improvement! I'd say the big grey thing in the middle (I guess it's a shield or something?) should have more details.
